You can tell i dont use this pipe much as it really hasnt begin you season yet, but sometimes a bit of nicotine is just what I need to relax in stressful times and I find pipe smoking less conducive to habitual use.
Finally got my first panel glued up today for the duct soffits in my dining room. The strips are spruce I milled and cut. Only 13 more panels to go. Although three will be corner panels, smaller and more intricate in layout.
Last winter my wife got these blocks of ice from a crew building an ice castle. She wanted to see and photograph the ice as it aged. I thought it would be neat to see how it looked with a fire behind it. The changing colors and light angles were fun to see.
At my youngest child's school play. They are doing a re-imagining of "Alice in Wonderland.
It is getting dark now and having showered it is time to return to the porch in sweats for the evening. It is our sometimes place, living here full t8me would be too difficult right now with greater family needs.
Won tickets to game 6 of the playoffs between the Wild and the Stars. So far the wild are up one after the first period. Could see our first fight soon, it is a scrappy game so far.
Hit 80° today and the bike fired up on the first try after being under a tarp all winter. Seemed like a great way to get my youngest to their sleepover. When they are old enough to drive the bike will most likely be their first choice over a car.
Made a big batch of cream sauce for my pastas. It isn't alfredo, but close enough I guess 3 large onions minced and browned 4oz minced garlic browned with onions 3# cream cheese 5 pints heavy cream 1.5# shredded parmesan 2 cups minced parsley 1 quart milk because it got thick too soon
We weren't snowshoeing this day but hiking up the creek on the NE side of Duluth, MN many years ago with my little girl and my wife, who took the picture of us.
We have a Costco business center near enough that I get a lot of my cheeses there. Wider variety than the normal warehouses in both types and presentation. Chunks and presliced options are available. They also have 5# tubs of yogurt, 4# tubs of cottage cheese and these 5 gal buckets of yogurt.
The research group my uncle is with caught this golden eagle as it migrated through Northern Minnesota this fall. It is rare to see them and even more rare to catch one. It was weighed, measured, banded and released.
We can see the Aurora tonight from our back yard in St Paul. Nice to see the work the city has been doing to reduce light pollution is doing some good
Reheating from frozen some Italian sausage soup my wife made a few weeks ago. Once it gets completely melted we will add some penne to cook in the soup.
This year the craft stores seem to be full of retro 80s pastel colored items like this Transanta. I just love the idea of all those conservative crafters subjecting their "alpha male" families to this lovely decor. As a man who crafts i know not all craftrs are women, just love the thought.
After 2.5y I got this bike running again and took my youngest out for theyr first street bike ride. Need to put the side shields back on but this was a shakedown ride after repairs. A good friend gifted this and another bike a couple of years ago and it took me until now to have clarity to fix.
At my youngest's end of camp rock concert for "She Rock She Rock" here at the Uptown VFW in Minneapolis.
Accidentally took this pic of the nearly cloudless sky over my work space and I kinda dig the angle though I don't like how my phone was able to take it as I always turn it "off" before placing in a pocket.
Youngest child wanted their hair dyed, they gave me a very interesting pattern concept, and I don't think it turned out too bad for my first attempt.
My youngest (13) took a life drawing class and has begun creating cartoon characters. They even made one special for me and im going to have it tattooed at some point this year.
My brain is fuzzy from the project I am running for work. I start "on call" service for a week in the morning and I will most likely need to put 20+ hours of programing in before Monday according to the project manager. Fuck the diabetus im doing candy and scotch tonight.
I love going to shows in little underground clubs. Last night was a tour kickoff at Nano Tako Studio for Sister Paul and Rocky The Ramone.
