another page done and my god im only noticing more about how much i hate the idw recolors ITS SUPPOSED TO BE NIGHT TIME! WHY IS IT SUNRISE! why did that foot's face get smeared in the 2nd to last panel? why does it just feel so all over the place
this image took forever and it was so big that it crashed gimp lol anyway for all the hate i have for the idw recolors... this is a page that wasn't bad for the official version.

anytime i think "man i really phoned it in for this page, this isnt that good" i just look at the idw colors and realize its still fucking better than that
im sticking with this red night, at least for raph consistency be damned
this is the page i was most looking forward to coloring little did i know it ended up being the most annoying to color FUCK FIRE ESCAPES im never coloring in one of those things again
okay heres my recolor of the part where they get their names and this part always bugged me for the idw colors, moreso than usual, because what the hell are those backgrounds. like leo and donny get blue and pink backgrounds sure, but mikey gets grey and raph gets yellow???? huh???
another page down not the most inspired, ill admit, but i think it at least came out well enough, especially compared to the official version also i find it funny how people cant tell the mirage turtles apart when i can literally do it easily even when theyre baby turtles
ive come to realize that one of the biggest inspirations on how i color comics is directly from the alopex story by sophie campell, notably how she kept a consistent tone throughout pages and had the colors gradually change throughout the issue to influence the mood i fuckin love sophies art so much
another couple pages down. and the official versions for comparison for the origin page, i wanted it to go from red and yellow to green to sort of signal the transition from daredevils origin to the turtles
