For some reason I had the urge to play Warcraft 1 Orcs & Humans. I remember that I've played it once in my life before and I wanted to make that memory distinct from Warcraft 2. Fun to see that nowadays.

Today we played Gaia Project, a Terra Mystica game by @feuerlandspiele.bsky.social and it was a bigger difference to Terra Mystica than I assumed. I liked the different spin on the formula compared to Terra Mystica. #Boardgame I'm not sure which of the 2 I like more.

Woah I found the final Image Viewer of my dreams: github.com/justnullname... Extremely fast, handles most photo formats I care about (no gif and webp, but on the roadmap), has no UI until howered over (or activated in the settings.) optional image stats. No bloat, open source.

And I played Libertalia auf den Winden von Calecrest by @stonemaiergames.com. An interesting take for sure. Everyone starts with the same cards and it gets asymetric over time. Well woven together mechanics too!

Last week I also played #Propolis by @flatoutgames.bsky.social for the first time. A compact game that has more to offer than I first expected. Loved a quick round of that.

Last week was also my first game of #Funkenschlag by @2f-spiele.bsky.social It's an older game but it aged quite well. I liked how the marked regulated the prices. Only the catchup-mechanics were a bit too weak.

Last week I played Dune Imperium: Uprising published by @direwolfdigital.bsky.social for the first time. Loved how well connected the deckbuilding and workerplacement is. looking forward to play another session.

My first time playing #Oath by @colewehrle.bsky.social It was a rollercoaster of emotions. There were many chances to win and lots of times where the tides turned. Sometimes multiple times per round. Loved the politics and the journey we took. However lots of rule discussions during the play
