The Charlottesville Police Department is seeking bids from authorized dealers for 120 new Glock 45 Gen 5 (9mm) handguns with red dot night sights. The contract includes trading in 130 Glock 45 Generation 5 firearms with night sights the department already owns.
Looks like one of these will be built in Tonsler Park. Contract just awarded to the National Fitness Campaign, which builds these outdoor fitness courts across the country. Made possible by a grant from Aetna. Expected to be finished Spring 2027. www.nationalfitnesscampaign.com/fitness-court
