First bit went fine, cooking all spuds in casserole dish then adding onions and chorizo for a bit, then eggs. Cooked well but I neglected to test that I hadplate big enough to flip it to cook the other side. I forgot final pic @anise44.bsky.social @pesch909.bsky.social @wormito.bsky.social
Despite weather maybe contributing to not great crops this year, still satisfying to have food from the garden on my plate for a few nights. (Also had spuds but forgot pic)
This is utterly ridiculous and a lot of fun if you are entertained by preposterous mystery thriller/dramas with bit of horror mixed in.

Oh! In the fumes of a burning planet I forgot to shout the exiting news that The Chatterbooks podcast I make won an award! The scholars from Year 7 at Brook Mead Academy in Leicester were the hosts for 6 episodes and it won best group project.
Decided to make the most of it being cooler than Satan’s arsehole and sorted out a load of gardening jobs. Peas have been awful but tomatoes more promising.
Mixed up more total pick n mix with better variety AND for less money. Win win.
I wanted more pick n mix. So went to nearest one in Tesco. Theirs was more expensive. So. I had the obvious idea…
2. Project Hail Mary. I couldn’t really remember the book but this seemed way more whimsical and fluffy, which made it fun but also shaved off a lot of jeopardy. A space buddy popcorn movie with a unique meet-cute and very little mental attention required.
Quick movie reviews. 1. The Sheep Detectives. At least 40minutes too long. Laugh-o-meter registered 3 chuckles, two guffaws and a couple of lols. Some quality gurning. Not enough Hong Chau.

I left my parsnips in the ground over winter. I can’t remember where I heard it but letting them flower attracts some critters that eat other critters and helps other plants. Didn’t realise what a git it would be to dig out these monsters.
Strawberry patch has delivered this year. Been picking every day for last two weeks. First pic goes in date order from top left. 2nd pic is ready for freezer as there's been so many. And yes. I have been weighing them. Current total: 3kg (just over)
Ooh! I’m finishing Solace House by Will Maclean today to start Until We Drown later. Both random picks from local library.
The Boroughs cast were great and it’s generally a fun watch. It did feel a tad …empty? It dipped its toe into some interesting themes but then seemed to get pulled back to a safe distance. I’d watch a second series.
And sit a certain way. Any excuse to share again the most wholesome NFL video.
It might be the race to escape relegation tomorrow but FAR MORE IMPORTANT is mine and @jmdmnd.bsky.social battle to win our score prediction league. With anything from 0points to 17pts each game it’s a bit daft that after 360+ games there’s only 23 points separating us at the top.

Adventurous fantasy sounds intriguing! I have just raced through The Fields by Erin Young, which - and not a criticism - has the feel of something conceived with a TV adaptation in mind! It has the structure for it. Now onto Quantum Cage by Davis Bunn.
