Mat and Holly in Jan 2024, based on work done in 2023 paragraph.com/@herndondryh...
yeah I agree. But i think that comes about because of the collapse in decorum and living standards. Outside of major urban areas, England (specifically) is pretty wild west imo. Here's a comment on how some of the pride in place money is getting spent. I mean they're not wrong I guess. lol
I would really like a long read on the tenor and tone of comments under local news stories in the UK. Analysis of both social media/facebook posts, and those on hyper local media websites. I feel like it would be an important window into the state of our society.
Someone who knows way more about it than me needs to write a long piece for the LRB or LARB about the relationship between Fighting game locations, background pixel art, influence on UFC and sports in general, life imitating art, theatrical aesthetics, prompting reality, etc.
Just 11 copies of my most recent zine left in my etsy store thejaymo.etsy.com/uk/listing/4...
Anyways. Here's a picture of the school hall next to the nursery were the military dumped all their gas masks after they did the sweep of the city. Weird place man.
It was the narrative and knowledge of the danger I bought with me that made being at the location register a threatening. Also, one of the big things I realised going to Pripyat is that there really isn’t enough broken glass foley sound in post apocalyptic media at all. It just *everywhere* you go
Standing like 150m from reactor 4 was the first time i’ve experienced a 'place of evil' as an active force. Radiation is obviously an insipid danger, no signs of death and danger detected except yellow and black warning symbols zipped tied to the fence.
Like the LRB piece mentions, it being reproduced in COD meant that actually going to to the fairground was like being inside a 'hyper reality'. Visiting somewhere you've only been in a dream or something. You look at a side building and think 'Oh there's ammo over there'
Raindrop.io 's agent is fantastic. Took nearly 2 months, but i'm all done! Processed over 1k+ unsorted bookmarks, added notes and tags. The prompt in my blog post has been tweaked a few times over the last month or so and works really well now.
People seem so psyched for the Popes AI encyclical. But everyone is sleeping on QUO VADIS, HUMANITAS? from International Theological Commission. CONSIDERING CHRISTIAN ANTHROPOLOGY IN THE CONTEXT OF CERTAIN SCENARIOS FOR THE FUTURE OF HUMANITY
Seems like a massive L that the @anthropic.com fellowship program has no track for creative/cultural applications/public communication or AI philosophy and/or language?
Spent this morning shipping UK subs. This pile is what's left. International orders go out tomorrow.
Issue #15 of my zine that accompanies this episode of my podcast arrived from the printers. All numbered, stamped up, and ready to ship to my paid subscribers this week!
No. Dune 3 is the adaption of the 1969 follow up and conclusion of the Paul Atredies story, Dune Messiah. This meme is a handy guide to the 6 canon books by FH.
I don't drink soda very often. Couple of times a year at most. But when I do drink it, I always drink the best one.
Give everyone seems to be getting laid off, this is the hot meme over on telegram.
