Just the one swan actually. Newcastle, for my sins.
2 classic movies I've never got around to watching. Had not sat down to watch This Is Spinal Tap because I thought I'd probably seen all the good jokes 100 times already and the rest if the film wouldn't hold up. I was right.
4 books for April. I Who Have Never Known Men, my favourite though incredibly bleak. Blood Orange, a different take on a crime thriller, but ending a bit clumsy & some characters are 2D. Have already forgotten the plot of Another Missing Person. Enjoyed Yellowface, barrels along at pace. #booksky
I'm quoting 'A family home starts at 5 bedrooms' which is the post I referenced and disagree with when thinking about how we deal with the housing problem.
Iron Economist stated 'a family home starts at 5 beds I reckon' I disagree, a decent sized three bed home is perfectly fine for a family of four for example. House building is a mess in the UK but discounting all three/four bedroom homes would be an error IMO.
So I think this is what our squad looks like now in a standard 4-3-3. Basically 24 man squad, plus four youngsters. There is a lot versatility which would give us cover options everywhere. But for UCL, we only have 21 slots, so Gillespie, Lascelles & probably Osula doesnt make that squad? #nufc
This, though, doesnt reflect reality. We know 2nd choice LB is actually Livramento. We also know 3rd/4th choice LFWD is Jolinton/Willock. So adding in 1st choice players covering other roles & 4 options per position. I'd guess it looks more like this. It gives Miley additional minutes #nufc
A guess at the #nufc squad assuming all the senior pros make the 25man squad. We currently have 23 senior players & 4 youngsters. We're also looking for a FWD & MF which, assuming they are not u21, means no place in the squad for one senior pro (guessing Ashby) & no additional MF cover.
If you want a tasteless & completely self absorbed football post, the FPL lot have always got something for you.
Bless ya heart. But you've said the below and literally doubled down on it. To now claim some kind of unfairness on my part is completely disingenuous. Businesses sell assets to fund investment. Clubs sell players to buy new ones, even UCL clubs.
Singings from abroad are higher risk. A influx of new players and young players significantly changes the team dynamic, so is a risk. Other clubs know about these players too, some of whom have a better track record of bringing through youngsters & can afford to accept variable performance.
Now, this post grated, and probably caused the joke that you reacted to. 'We need to scouting players before they become well known'. EVERYONE knew about Caciedo for example. The idea that a Newcastle scout is going to get a player from a good league that nobody else has seen is for the birds.
You stated that we'd be 4/5 players short after getting 4. That suggests to me you want to change around a third of the playing squad (8/9) & indicates £200m as the total budget. This is not how nufc operates, we buy/sell less & changing nine of the 1st team squad now would be a significant risk.
JT:Its the little differences. SJ: example JT: Well nobody's called me a Liberal do-gooding cuck because I read books. SJ: What about the Nazi's? JT: They don't have them! SJ: Did someone try and sell you make up through the medium of dance? JT:I didn't log into Instagram.
