Dream post day! A summer-themed mix CD from a friend, and a box of postcards kicking off a new project with another.
Ahead of schedule, it’s Life Without Buildings! What a wonderful night - met some old friends and made some new ones.
Keeping the tempos brisk and the hi-hats syncopated is paying real dividends.
Early start tomorrow/Monday… I (Matt) have got a mix airing on Voices Radio - an hour of morning music featuring Yusuf Lateef, Baaba Maal, Anne Briggs, Domenique Dumont, Jasmine Myra, Edu Lobo and more. Enjoy. www.voicesradio.co.uk
Really enjoying this new @audioobscura.bsky.social album. The word has had all meaning Boomkat-ed out of it, but it is genuinely hypnagogic in its flow. Beautiful artwork, too.
I took a photo inside mine as I wanted to see what the problem with the jack was. It’s massive! Some prime property development potential there. I might start leasing out land to the MOD.
We played a stripped down set on the @resonancefm.bsky.social Hello Goodbye Show the other week. Three songs from the new album, starting here around 44 mins in: www.mixcloud.com/Resonance/th... @mapref.bsky.social came dressed as Barney from that summery New Order radio session.
Dreamed there was a Stereolab album called Basslines that was just Stereolab basslines (I might actually get around to making the music for it, eventually).
The last few posters from the London date of our tour are now on sale. Printed on nice heavy paper, illustration by me (Matt). theleaflibrary.bandcamp.com/merch/flower...
Not every LP comes with a sticker of Ronnie Hazlehurst (but it should). Thanks @panchoballard.bsky.social + @wiaiwya.bsky.social
And not forgetting a Swift appearance in the UK album chart top 30...
London friends! Here are the timings for the Dreamhouse Records stage at Shake The High Road in Leytonstone on Saturday. Very much looking forward to playing with ALL that lot. Still some tickets available: tickets.shakethehighroad.com/events/shake...
Playing some post Shake The High Road festival records at Wood Street Bear in Walthamstow this bank holiday. Free!
The only two records you'll ever need. (from our friend Mark in Japan)
Saw this slightly awkward beauty off to a new home today. Bit sad but it’ll be well looked after.
Next gig is the Shake The High Road festival in Leytonstone on Saturday 2 May. Look at that line up! Tickets here: tickets.shakethehighroad.com
Wonderful to have these two new ones from pals/remixers arrive on the same day! Top work Kristen Gallerneaux and @polypores.bsky.social - brilliant albums.
Here’s most of what we listened to (minus some ABBA, Iron Maiden, Fugazi, Pinch, Far, ZZ Top and Jesus Lizard)
Thanks to everyone that came out to see us, we’ve had a wonderful time. Thanks also to all the promoters that took a bit of a chance on us!
