I am also desperately wrestling with the magnitude of this knowledge against the fact that one of the book sellers they talked to shares a name with the Harkonnen mentat from Dune and I am a big dumb idiot who finds that very funny.
Saw this going around. I'm reuploading b/c I don't want anyone to feel called out, but boy do I have thoughts. I understand the sentiment here, but I can almost guarantee you that this came out of the same community of people who dismissed all of modern animation as "woke calarts bullshit."
I guess maybe if they don't sell out of these, the Wayans brothers can use them when they inevitably make a White Chicks 2.
They said the thing!! Roll credits! No, seriously. Please. Roll credits. I don't think I can handle another game and a half of this pablum.
Here's your enshittitification anecdote for the day. Power is out, potentially for hours. Internet too. Switch had to be factory reset so nothing really to play there except for the GBA emulator. GBA... Wait. I have a GBA. And it still works. And it's fully charged. Physical media rules.
My cats look like they're about to drop the hottest hip hop album of all time.
Nyx obviously has poor depth perception, so her ability to drink water is affected. As a consequence, she often returns from the water fountain with little droplets all over her face. And if her one gold eye looks like a moon against the night sky, the droplets become stars. ✨🌙
Please stop doing crimes, child. The day is dragging on and i have crimes of my own to attend to.
Goodness. I think I found the first miniature I ever painted. Must've been 25 years ago now? I'm really conflicted about whether I should put this one in the isopropyl bath with the other stray figs or if I should base it and preserve it just like it is.
Heavy Pounder is going on the rack for a few days to see what he wants to tell me. Even though the obvious inspirations are from Chuck Tingle and Tom of Finland, I keep thinking that maybe a little less over-the-top presentation might be the move. I did add a little something tho. Free will, etc.
Hit our WarPounder 40k Heavy Pounder with a little matte grey over the work area. Still a bit of sanding to do but I was confident enough that this model was rounding the corner that I hit the top of his helmet with a little white to lay down the base of the pride rainbow. Next up, fine muscle!
Still giggling every time I have to give this little dude a zap-a-gap backshot.
Probably not a great sign for me that my initial thought when reading this was:
Finally starting the Warpounder 40k squad so unfortunately no hope of being done this Pride. Apropos of nothing, if I ever do decide to actually field a Space Marine army I think I'm going to adopt this cheeked-up look by default.
Gonna be honest with ya, Nyx. I'm not sure if this qualifies as a fitz/sitz situation.
Found something I bashed together in an evening b/c I was invited to a pickup game of 5e the following night and I had unpacked my art supplies but not my minis or books. Good times.
@quest64official.bsky.social I was at a loss for words to explain my thoughts.
Words cannot describe how much I don't need my ego massaged for my stupid shopping habits, Amazon.
