An unprofessional joke of a website, podcast and YouTube channel covering #ReadingFC Posts usually by Sim, pod hosted by Ben and Ross
🎥 Immediate post-match take from Ben - poor #ReadingFC showing overall, but there were positives in Kyreece Lisbie and a perfect set of penalties.
Scattergun #ReadingFC performance overall that needs to be way more consistent across the 90. Started and ended the game pretty well, but looked wayward for a lot of the contest. Kyreece Lisbie man of the match, what a player 😮💨
It's a winning start for Reading in 2026/27! Joel Pereira the shootout hero after Stokes' goal was cancelled out in normal time. Wing missed a pen in normal time, Bromley went down to 10 Some promise in the performance, much to improve, but the important thing is the result
Matchday, at long last! Expecting Leam Richardson to put out as strong a side as possible. Hopefully O'Connor, Stokes and Brown are back from illness, and maybe Marriott on the bench. What side would you go with today?
Full time, Charlton 0-3 #ReadingFC An outstanding win for the Royals to cap off what had already been a strong pre-season. Four wins in a row - all with clean sheets. Two excellent Lewis Wing goals from range, plus a lovely Reece Evans header to cap off a classy counter. URZ!
Solid 1-0 win that. Beacroft will get the plaudits for his excellent goal, but it was a real team effort from #ReadingFC. First half alright, grew into it after the break. Turned it on around 52-62 and could have scored a couple. Defensive side was solid too to secure another clean sheet.
Final bit of non-behind-closed-doors PSF action tonight as #ReadingFC head to Crawley. Expect Tuesday's 'second XI' to get 90 mins, with the rest (likely our strongest XI) getting 90 against Charlton. Question marks at full-back though with Roberts nearing a return and Dokes potentially out.
Good friendly outing for Reading tonight, 4-0 winners at Newport County. Jacob Brown, Josh Stokes and Jerae Jones (x2) on the score sheet. Played some good stuff and battled well throughout, though Dokes went off injured. Hopefully not too serious.
"He's got a lot of potential that we just couldn't get out of him consistently." 🎥 @mrblthomas.bsky.social is "gutted" about Long Kelvin leaving, but think it's the right choice for #ReadingFC to cash in. Plus: his individual standouts yesterday and thoughts on the window more broadly.
📚 Just finished @alclem.bsky.social's Magic Hat: Madejski, McGhee and Reading FC 1991-1995. Full review coming on the site this week, but in summary: I enjoyed it a lot and very much recommend it for all #ReadingFC fans after a summer read. Well worth getting a copy!

#ReadingFC have loaned in Kadan Young until the end of the season - the club's sixth loanee 20yo winger from Aston Villa, who's previously got experience out on loan at Royal Antwerp. Got an assist for Villa in the Europa League last week!
"There's loads of apathy around the football club, because people are tired from the last few years, because people felt we would be in a better position league-wise now." @mrblthomas.bsky.social's take on the feeling of apathy at #ReadingFC, on this week's pod.
🔢 Let's break down the age profile of #ReadingFC's 17 first-team signings so far this season... - Most (10) were 27+ when they joined - Of the remaining 7, only 3 were permanents. - So Haydon Roberts is in fairly rare company alongside Daniel Kyerewaa and Paddy Lane
The pod is back after a loss in East London. The window shuts in just under two weeks, so what do #ReadingFC need? Will we bounce back vs Barnsley on Saturday? Thoughts on the overall club at present? Let us know! @mrblthomas.bsky.social @webberross.bsky.social
"It was a really poor performance all round." @mrblthomas.bsky.social reacts to #ReadingFC's 3-1 defeat at Leyton Orient.
Here's how #ReadingFC's three mid-season signings + Ricardo Santos (all in 🟢) fit into the age profile of the squad. Continuing a trend for our 2025/26 recruitment, they bring a lot of experience. 🔵 = Here last season 🔴 = Joined in the summer
Here's how #ReadingFC's squad is shaping up, with Matty Jacob sent back to Hull City and Randell Williams extending his deal today. Good number of players already contracted for next season - nice break from previous years.
🖋️ Randell Williams has agreed an extension to his #ReadingFC deal until the end of 2026/27! 1 goal and 1 assist in his 8 appearances so far. Looked pretty promising and his versatility has been helpful too, playing on both wings and at left-wing-back. Solid bit of business.
"Fin Burns shut it down by himself." On this week's pod, @webberross.bsky.social had a lot of love for #MCFC loanee Burns, who impressed for #ReadingFC at centre-back against Stockport County. 🎧 Full episode in your feeds right now.
After consecutive wins at the Whitley Bowl, @mrblthomas.bsky.social and @webberross.bsky.social will soon be back on the pod to talk about 6 points from Leam’s men. - Is it too early for playoff chat? - Were both wins deserved? - Who was your best player across those 2? Let us know! #ReadingFC
"We were very comfortable for large spells, I think we probably could have scored more goals." @mrblthomas.bsky.social's immediate reaction as #ReadingFC kick off 2026 with a 2-0 win over Burton.
🌲Ding won merrily on Sky! #ReadingFC come out on top in a rollercoaster of a second half. Went 2-0 up, back to 2-2, back in front again, and held onto the lead for a vital three points!
A 3-0 win is followed up by a 3 man pod this week as @simfrombucks.bsky.social joins @mrblthomas.bsky.social and @webberross.bsky.social to chat about the first league away win of the season. Get your thoughts and questions in below #readingfc

"I've heard a lot of people saying it was night and day, and really it was in terms of the performance level." 🎥 @mrblthomas.bsky.social / #ReadingFC
Half time, 1-0 #readingfc! Wing has us ahead after a stop-start 45 mins. Looking comfortable enough and played some good stuff at times, but not dominating as much as we'd want. Encouraging start to the Richardson era though.
"He has to get this group working and he has to do that quickly for us to pick up results." @mrblthomas.bsky.social is happy #readingfc have moved quickly to bring in a new manager, with Leam Richardson installed in the dugout this afternoon.
