I finally watched Blue Beetle. I hope @jamesgunn.bsky.social gives this character and cast another chance. Too bad it came at the tale end of the Synderverse. The funnest,heartfelt,movie of all those imo. So well executed, it looked amazing, great balance of humor, action and drama. Fingers crossed.

#RiftTreks relational rift The biggest rift to me, ironically is off screen. The creator, Gene Roddenberry eventually had little to do with the movies after TMP. Creative differences between himself and the studio, writers and directors left him on the sideline.

#GenreTrek Literary stories TWOK's ties to Dickens 'Tale of two cities'...from themes of imprisonment, revenge and sacrifice. A father and child reunited, past decisions make for present day circumstances. The opening and closing lines perfectly bookend the movie, beautiful.

#GenreTrek Healing after war. I find the episodes that deal with personal trauma from war to be heartbreaking and therapeutic. Especially when dealing with guilt. Guilt of what you forced to turn into, or do or could've done.
