If Lower Decks has one major disappointment, it was not giving T'Lyn more focus. Very beautifully done picture of her!
This is where I'm at right now. Why did people choose this? I'm so baffled by that. We've lost a decade+ to this madness, and it was all two giant own-goals by the United States. (Pearlmania500 on TikTok, etc)
To be fair, if anyone is going to stubbornly refuse to die, it's Starscream.
I love their new mascot! --I've been informed by corporate that this is in fact NOT their new mascot. Don't share the InfoWars Elf!
The latest episodes of Critical Role Campaign 4 have been just amazing. Multiple moments that have made me react out-loud in various emotions. And some just incredible plot revelations. (Art by Elaine Tipping)
I'm current with Critical Role Campaign 4, and I am really into it. Their character work is amazing. It's especially impressive because there are 13 player characters and Brennan is running so many consistent NPC major characters, too. But every one of them is compelling in this well told story!
I genuinely was surprised by these results. I mean, 80% Ragatha and 70% Pomni I was expecting, but *95%* Gangle really threw me for a loop. ...but then I thought about it more and... yeah. Actually that may check out.
"Mina the Hollower" is really, really difficult. And yet turning on any of the modifiers to make it easier *also* feels like a failure to me... I need to remind myself that I almost gave up on Silksong, and not only did I get really good at it, but that ended up being one of my favorite games.
I like that her Black Vortex powered-up look was an homage to her classic look, mostly. I'll take either over the boring, generic space-suit look she tends to have a lot now.
Love her outfit at the start. I used that alt costume in Multiversus (among many others, admittedly She had a lot of good costumes, actually)
I liked Masters of the Universe! It was fun, just the right style of cheesy without becoming self-parody, and just a pretty feel good adventure movie. That said, I am very much the target audience for this movie, so I am biased. I *wish* they'd cast Mark Hamill instead of Jared Leto, but alas.
Genuinely the best kind of compliment I can receive for my Super Mario Maker 2 super world. Really made my day.
I *did* pry my Bowser off of the 'trophy' set to be my Bowser figure for years!
Talking with @alexjaffe.bsky.social about Chuck Dixon's 90's work. "Robin" and "Nightwing" were the first two comics I actively collected. A character he created is my favorite comic-book character ever. And yet, knowing Dixon's politics since 2016 means knowing it was there the whole time.
Last night, some friends and I were talking over Discord about politics. I went on multiple rants about the current idiots in office. And while doing so, I ran across this screencap from Hazbin Hotel. It summarized my feelings in the moment very well.
I went with the Adam Hughes Power Girl and Blackcat cover for my "Spider-Man/Superman" issue today!
The ending of "Be Careful What You Wish For" lives rent free in my brain forever. (I still think this is the best book in the series.)
My own personal head-canon (which I admittedly weigh a bit too heavily with Mario stuff) is that Blue and Yellow were inspired by Toad's bravery, and trained themselves to also be adventures to help the Princess.
For a while, I liked the theory that Blue Toad was *the* Toad, just with his cap blue-spotted instead of red, like his sprite in Super Mario Bros. 2. But technically the All-Stars version 'corrected' that and gave him the proper red-spotted cap.
Need an unserious post just to break up my mental fatigue: I wish that Nintendo had given Blue Toad and Yellow Toad actual names. It may not matter, but it just would be nice if these playable characters actually had names.
