Aussie teacher, traveller, musician. She/her. I like cats. I hate caffiene. Kingdom of Lochac, embroiderer, bard.
Tree cat tree cat tree cat... Thessa likes playing tree games when I hang the washing. It also keeps her out from underfoot. #catsofbluesky #catandbluesky
Plying up the last of the european wool sample pack, and then I am spinning silk again....
...Feel compelled to ask if you do skill swaps.... Or you know, could dip thru Bendigo Woolen Mills with you in mind, or start up the tube machine again. If it would make you less sad, that is.
I don't do kits (why make someone elses picture?) but people often give me ends from theirs. I use them to embroider my own stuff. A friend of mine uses spare coloured threads to repair her clothes in contrasting stitches, very punk.
Thessa is all ears in this photo for some reason. #calicocats #catsofbluesky
Yesterday that #ausalert came out, and I was away from my phone, so by the time I found my phone, it was over. No way to read the alert. Today, near 4pm, I get this message: It wasn't there at noon. More importantly, why didn't I get to read this yesterday? I have problems with this silly system.
I like this infographic very much. The other problem with counting wings is when the bees and the flies do the "look no wings" invisible wings trick when photographed (Not my photo, but this one is a good example). You can always start looking for the halteres, I guess....
Onya. All good, no worries. Take a Captains at this lot though! Took me a while to find this, but it's legit. Now, they're made by the Westies, and I'm New South Welsh, but still... There's a bloody LYE in lychee haha (yeah, that's right, Aussies can make beer out of any sodding thing!)
Thessa looking perfect. It was cold last night, both cats were competing for my attention and warm lap. Her very white fur is overemphasised here, but honestly not by much! Sometimes she just seems to glow! #catsofbluesky #calicocats
Persephone happy, warm, and dry during a rainy evening last night. Sometimes black cats just look like a bumdle of cloth twisted on a blanket. #void #catsofbluesky
Thessa had an accident. She apparently tried to release herself from the coathanger for some time before revealing herself to me. It turns out laughing hysterically makes it really hard to explain to a scared cat that she has to stay still to be rescued from the coathanger of doom.
It is a hard thing to try to explain to students. Take any topic you personally know. Ask the chatbot hard questions about that topic. It will make errors & give false information (it does of course do that with every topic). But still people assume it is useful for things they do not know. Sigh.
They're waiting for their souls to arrive. It is a little dizzy after chasing them in circles for 6 months. "However fast the body travels, the soul travels at the speed of an arcturan megacamel....." -Douglas Adams. (When I looked up this quote, I will admit I thought Pratchett had written it.)
Makes me think of the time Dexter has a problem with advertisements in his Sony branded heads-up eye system and can't see till he gets a better adblocker. I guess these comics would have hit too close to home if they were made in the U.S.....
No Star Wars. No Star Trek. Name a favourite scifi franchise. I mean, I will always say #Babylon5, but just started watching something different. It has been excellent so far, and will no doubt be another favourite. Do recommend!! #Cleverman #Aussie #Scifi
Thessa looking gorgeous. I love her heavily made up eyes. We used to joke that she got into her sisters makeup and smeared herself with everything, like a toddler, before asking "Am I pretty now?" She is of course very pretty. #calicocats #catsofbluesky #cat
Persephone is sometimes rather hard to photograph as anything other than a knot of spilt ink. She is very comfortable though! There is even the faintest whisper of purring. #void #catsofbluesky #blackcats
Thessa sleeping with her paws covering her face. She is too cute sometimes.
Wonka bars had a similar texture and flavour to Aldi chocolate hazelnut bars. You could likely try them to find out. No idea if they have the same manufacture and ingredients in the U.S. as to here though, probably completely different.
I did love real wagon wheels, full sized. They only sell mini wagon wheels these days, which somewhat defeat the purpose. The originals are a delightfully huge plate of chocolate coated biscuit, very generous. Aldi sold fullsized ones for a few days last year, I bought a whole box.
Here's where I csmped for the last 2 weeks. West and north of Sydney, but still in the Sydney Sandstone Basin area, far upstream of Broken Bay. The red cliffs are incredible around there.
Thessa with curled wrists. She poses beautifully. #calicocat #catsofbluesky
