Somehow my Call of Cthulhu character survived the campaign. There were so many points where she should have died. But dice kept deciding she lived. Stuff like casting a long shot spell and rolling 5% on the resistance table, failing a sanity check for 2d10 loss and getting double 1s. #ttrpg

Stewpot is a game where you play retired adventurers becoming tavern keepers. They start to leave behind their adventuring days and pick up the skills they need to run a tavern and settle down.

Chill 3rd edition is the newest edition of the first game I ever ran as a GM. I ran the example scenario of Chill 2nd edition way back as a teenager. The game is about members of an ancient secret society that studies and fights evil creatures. They've adapted to modern day after a devastating loss

Night's Black Agents is a Pelgrane Press game using the GUMSHOE system and is billed as super-spies versus vampires. Basically, what if Jason Bourne discovered the existence of vampires and had to fight them. It's an interesting premise and has been fun to play.

Nightbane, known as Nightspawn before Todd McFarland sued Palladium, is a Palladium Games RPG about creatures that seem to be born human but develop the ability to take on random monstrous forms. They are capable of severely hurting the vile monstrous life-eating monsters that have invaded.

Torg and it's modern version Torg eternity is a game I picked up as a kid and was probably a part of my love of genre blending chaos. However, looking back at it in my 40s (approaching 50) I find that it has not really aged very well with lots of concepts like societal development getting a rating.

Daggerheart is a new game by @criticalrole.bsky.social's @darringtonpress.bsky.social company and one I want to get a shot at eventually. I might sit down and figure out if I feel confident running a one shot of it. Very flexible in terms of setting though it assumes points of civ in wilds.

I believe I have the full release of this. Last I checked it was the backer release and the version without formatting is just very hard to read. Curseborne is an urban horror/dark fantasy game by Onyx Path. They started developing it using Storypath after losing the Chronicles of Darkness license.

Something I picked up from the FLGS (Dragon's Lair San Antonio) years ago where you play students at a boarding school for people in the Cthulhu mythos setting. You can play witches, hybrids, and other such things. I might be making a gorgon archer in this eventually.

Girl by Midnight is a Forged in the Dark game I really have to crack open and read... and maybe make a gorgon archer in. It focuses on characters with dual identities in efforts to save the world. Primarily magical girls, but also mech pilots in one of the included settings.

Something I recently backed and am trying to get the full rules for (trying to see where it went). Outgunned is a system that is meant to reproduce the feel of action movies presenting short action packed campaigns. I haven't gotten a look at the system yet but hear it is similar to Broken Compass.

Legend in the Mist is a refinement of the Mist Engine I first ran across in City of Mist, one of my favorite games. This game focus on "Rustic Fantasy" meaning focusing on the little folk and folkloric issues. It has the capacity to go up to epic situations as you find in Tolkien's stuff.
