I had wanted out of there for a while and I while I would have preferred it to be on my own terms, I’m not sorry to be out. I’m going to spend some time resting/resetting for the next couple days, but I’m excited to have the newly-freed emotional space to think about what’s next.
The dinner in question. It’s not impressive but everyone liked it and no one is still hungry. Plus I could sit on the couch while it cooked.
While schools have been closed this week, I have been using my Zoom account to let the kid and his friends play D&D together. I guess yesterday I accidentally turned on the AI notetaker, because I got an email after, complete with action items:
Also, this is what the vent clip looks like. The tassels swing in the breeze. My SIL decided it was calling my name.
This is my equivalent of the “dude poses with the fish he caught” photo. I started this blanket over 4 years ago:
We bought this for our kid and our visiting nephew; they’re going to be all sugared up but it’s a holiday and who cares…
This is probably a perfectly tasty snack but you can’t brand them as Goldfish! Everyone knows Goldfish are a savory cracker!
3. I created a new Focus mode and scheduled it to appear from the time my alarm goes off until 9 AM on my gym days. It also does not show any notification badges, nor allow any notifications except from members of my family. Thanks, @karenattiah.bsky.social, for providing this inspo for badassery.

I’ve been a pixel-pusher for years but something about late stage capitalism/fascism/AI boosterism is making me crave creating stuff by hand more and more. I doodled this today.
“My art collection is overflowing my gallery wall” sounds super bougie but my taste is, uh, not that.
We did the bayscaping years ago but have the landscapers back every couple of years to tidy things. They came this week so it looks especially tidy right now. The Black Eyed Susan was delightfully out of control.
This weekend I pieced all my little clippings and bits and leftovers from my collage projects onto a long strip of packing tape, then cut it down and glued sections into my art journal (which I also made). I love how fluffy and tactile it is, and how squishy it makes the journal. Make stuff!
If you’re seeing this, drop an old pic you still love. (Any excuse for this all-time fave)
This guy. After 19 years married (23 together) I’m still all 😍 when he walks into a room. @tombridge.com
Bought the glitter freckles for my friends and me to wear last night, but forgot them. But they’re so cute my coworkers are about to see me wearing them on random meetings.
