Transport Archeology at Edgware Bus Station. A combination of managed decline & ineffective maintenance has lead to the flooring at the bus station to become eroded, with layers of coating rubbed away to reveal the original 1980s tiling. Its all coming down anyway for the Ballymore redevelopment.

A curious photo from the wonderful archives of Memories of Hendon The image is captioned as 'Brent Cross Exchange of Leases' and dated January 1972. So what you can see is model proposal of the Brent Cross Shopping Centre. It looks quite different to the version that was eventually constructed.

'Greeetings from Cricklewood' A 1910s postcard with views of the area around Cricklewood. If you think the image quality is poor, you should have seen what is was like before I worked on it! The original image was on ebay and was incredibly feint.
Stumbled upon this late Victorian semi-detached home yesterday. It appears to have its original windows and door. The reaction from many people will be one of disregard, but no matter how neglected houses like this are, they are to be valued for the originality.

Stills from the 1970 BBC programme, 'Scene', filmed at the Phoenix Youth Club, in Kilburn. Members were asked "What is a Skinhead?". Does anyone recognise any of the people? A nod to the Instagram account a sense of style, who had posted up the stills a few days ago.

A mainstay of Mill Hill Broadway closes after 42 years, this month.
The Green Man public house, Stanmore Marsh (Canons Park), in the 1930s and the 1960s. The pub lasted until 2002, after which it was demolished and a block of flats built on the site two years later.
Canons Park 1946 & 2024. In the closing stages of WW2, a low scale development was erected by the Government, possibly as an outstation for SOE Bletchley Park. It was used for the next 50 years as offices for things like the DVLA Demolished in the early 2000s & replaced by a residential development
