For reasons that escape me now (I wasn’t a huge fan at the time) it was this one. Probably still got it somewhere, maybe it’s time to give it a spin again
The peak of my Ibizan chod spotting this year… a nice and varied selection at least! #weirdcarbs
Unexpected glut* of Mk 1 Golf cabrios spotted on night 1 of this year’s Ibiza chod spot - I mean holiday *2
Thoroughly excellent chat with the owner of this 309 GTi on Weymouth seafront last week. Just an excuse to share the pics, frankly. Surely the #weirdcarBS choice over the 205? It was Mi16-swapped too….
Yesterday’s spot. File under “these were everywhere when I was a kid but when did you last see one?” Bit of a survivor with an “interesting” MoT history - but still current! #WeirdCarBS #Ford #CarSpotting
Slightly cheating with my answer as it was at a car show but hats off to the owners club for a massive turnout at Trentham the other week, including this lovely specimen
Slightly lamentable performance overall in terms of car spotting for #WeirdCarBS this week in Ibiza, but here’s the best I’ve got (the E30, obvs), a Twingo (of course) and some other bits that caught my eye including a Fiat held together by rust.
Action spot yesterday - looks to be well used having soared through 250k miles… love how the old shark nose designs stand out against modern stuff. But then I am increasingly a grumpy old man #WeirdCarBS
Slightly slim pickings on this trip to Paris compared to usual but for the #WeirdCarBS crew, I did spot a few more today…
Definitely not looking at Giulias as a possible 3 series daily replacement... Definitely not.
It’s a good night for the admittedly niche category of “car seats I’d love to sit in”
Another thought provocation session for management ended with the genius of @simonheath.bsky.social - as per usual!
Closing out the wfh day with a few emails and this beauty. Gone but not forgotten - the genius that was Mr Weatherall. Complete with period “Trumps” price sticker from Brentwood High Street.
Post four blue cars in your camera roll Disclaimer - only the first one is mine!
One of the things I look forward to every year - the annual Two Syllables comp from @firstword.bsky.social - is here! If you like cutting edge beats with jazzy edges, get yourself to Bandcamp…
