Oh god, I’d be constantly wondering what I had done. Although I get this. Disapproval mixed with demand
Now you just need to get a Tilley hat the next time you come for visit. My original one I bought for field work is over 40 years old and it’s still in great shape. Very Canadian.
Miranda sends you her regards. She would like to thank you for saving her. She just had her annual CT scan today and her heart is fine. She is now 8 and brings joy to her owners lives.
Isn’t that the truth! They were singing everywhere at MaGee and Point Pelee but rarely would you see them, and the common Yellow throats even less so. Except for this guy, who was busy snacking off of the dead bugs plastered on this guy’s truck.
I got an ad for these sandals from Neiman Marcus. Looks like some designer might be hanging out in furry/kink spaces. But I’ll bet you didn’t pay over $2,300 for yours
I’m sorry it’s so stressful for you. I do think you are a fantastic artist and I do enjoy seeing your work but I see that posting it could also be a negative experience for you.
A good day in Ohio, I left my camera in the car, so I got good looks at over a dozen warbler species! And some surprises like an out of range Glossy Ibis. Some of my cell phone shots.
That..that is perfect. I was asked online how many vaccines I was willing to get. My reply
I don’t know if you still eat coping butter, but I got an ad for this and thought of you :)
I lb of butter, 1 cup of fine bakers sugar, a wee splash of vanilla (optional) 1/2 cup of rice flour, 31/2 cups of all purpose flour. Mix well and pat out into a 9x13” pan, roll smooth (I use a glass) poke some holes with a fork, Bake at 350 for about 20-25 mins until golden brown, cut while warm
They swirled over our heads descended on the feeder like a storm and were gone again in minutes.
Our bags were left behind in London, I was told they would arrive today, that didn’t happen, I’m sure they will eventually make it back to us. The idea of this trip was to see our friends and the Northern lights. It was cloudy the entire time we were there. This was their view from last night..Fin
Miracles occurred and we actually got seats on the flight. Sadly our luggage did not. After clearing customs and immigration we stood by the luggage belt with that slowly sinking realization that your luggage was not going to appear, the belt stopped. Went to the luggage claim line…5
We were in the interior up in the mountains. We had multiple days of -20° C and lots of snow, this is certainly larger than my snow blower.
Some snow here in Norway, I was waiting for a willow Ptarmigan to run and warn me of the werewolf. I have no doubt there are things lurking in these woods.
We have been rebooked 3 times and are delayed by 6 days flying out. I have a text from delta telling us that the weather forecast looks dodgy and we might cancel you again. 12 hours to check in. There is mountain hiding back there. I’ve been checking our flight status at least once an hour.
Since our hosts are stuck with us unexpectedly for 3 extra days due to airline issues they have put a bird feeder for me to watch. It’s like the cat sitting beside the aquarium. I will stay here all day with occasional trips to the coffee machine.
This was my word, I was more hoping for tough or resilient although I don’t know if those were options. If not they should be.
I adore gulls that readily identifiable. When a swallow-tailed gull showed up in Seattle it fabulous because it was a Code 5 bird and easy to pick out from all the other loafing gulls.
