As we approach the solar eclipse, I’m reminded of how the celestial lesbians in my Pantheon project filled the world with gods and dragons ☀️🌙
I love world building, you can just draw two bad bitches and say they’re sisters. And then they are 💀🔮

Actually it’s based on Bronze Age axes (I think they’re called epsilon axes) by way of a big bladed glaive

Last night I climbed a hill and painted the sunset, spent about 25 minutes because by that point the sun had turned from yellow to red 🌅

I spent about an hour and a half on each of these, it’s a nice way to explore side characters and aesthetics

Here’s a look at some of the refs I was using, and Themis’ original design The subtle-ish crow motif is a nod to the God of storms in this world, the blue elements of her design reference the coastal city state she protects, and burgundy for the university where she trained 3/4
My top tip is to get good reference! And if you can make your own reference!
