That article doesn't mention what happens once people leave education, where White Working Class men do pretty well in income terms. Talking about 'White working class' as if that's one homogenous group is just wrong.
More guitar! I really like this groove, which came about cos I had a little run in D minor and I thought - what's the wrongest note I can start a baseline on? I know - F sharp! (You can argue about whether that's really the wrongest note for the key but it's what I thought at the time so there!)

I very much enjoyed the Sun Eater books by Christopher Rucchio. It is silly science fiction/fantasy and absurdly long. It also wears its influences so on its sleeve that it's a wonder he's not received legal letters from whoever owns Star Wars, Aliens and the Matrix. Silly fun. Best kind of trash.
Tracking bass for the new album. The last bit is in something like 31/8 depending on how you think about it. Which is a bit silly.
The flag-shaggers near me have put up a fresh set. They appear to have augmented the St George crosses with this banner on a derelict restaurant. Perhaps this is the sentiment that can finally bring us together.
At least I can claim I Have A Mask is about imposter syndrome. It's really just about an alien with low self esteem.

Pre-gig selfie. Off to play an unexpected impromptu acoustic set at the HRH prog festival. This the face of someone who has been ill, hasn't rehearsed and can only remember half his lyrics. What could possibly go wrong?

I enjoyed doing my very short song about bees the other day so here is another very short song. It is called Origin Story.
A couple of weeks ago I walked past a bee hive. It was swarming. At the same time I had a weird little rhythm going through my head. So I recorded a very short song about it.
