Bluesky bumbler. He/him. Watching the collapse of America through my fingers. Dad, husband, creative, queer, leftie loon™
My ranking in summary: 1 - THE VISITORS 2 - Like An Angel Passing Through My Room 3 - When All Is Said And Done 4 - Should I Laugh Or Cry? 5 - Head Over Heels 6 - I Let The Music Speak 7 - Slipping Through My Fingers 8 - Soldiers 9 - One Of Us 10 - Two For The Price Of One
Worth remembering Godwin's Second Law here: "Drawing Bayesian inferences after extensive sampling, I've determined that it's 99-percent certain that anyone who uses "woke" as pejorative will turn out to be a fuckhead." Paul Williams, j'accuse. 🫵
I have removed my music from all major streaming sites (Spotify, Apple, Deezer etc.). It will remain available on Bandcamp to stream and download, if you wish. hometime.bandcamp.com
If you see this, post a concert photo you took #ABBA performing at the RDS Main Hall, Dublin, 15 November 1979. My first ever concert.
The only tiny downside of having abandoned The Hellsite™, is that I tend to miss out on gems like these:
It's #BandcampFriday, meaning that if you buy a download there, the artist gets 100% of the price. In this case, The Stephen Moylan Foundation gets the much needed moolah. #Christmas #Charity #IrishMusic #LGBTQmusic hometime.bandcamp.com/track/what-y... thestephenmoylanfoundation.com
The Nobel Peace Prize goes to Maria Corina Machado for "her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy." How will that gold spray paint survive the onslaught of flung ketchup?
Treated myself to the reissue of "Upstairs At Eric's" on crystal clear vinyl. It's credited to #Yaz - not #Yazoo - because I opted for the US version, whose tracklist was improved by substituting "Tuesday" for the fab Kervorkian remix of "Situation." Glorious electropop. #UpstairsAtEric's
Watching #TOTP 1981 and can't help wondering if Gary Numan and Sean "Just Jack" Hayes have ever been seen in the same room?
Well done, @dublinbusnews.bsky.social. I'm sure the information is vital in some other country.
A glorious day today, and the National Stud and Japanese Gardens was a gorgeous destination.
28⁰ in the Phoenix Park. This breeze is lulling me into a false sense of security, but I'll probably arrive home as crispy as a pork scratching.
One of my favourite parts of Dublin is looking especially gorgeous in the sun.

Ten years ago today, celebrating the historic YES to Marriage Equality. We spent a huge chunk of the day in Pantibar, surrounded by joyful people. Later that day, I proposed actual marriage to my now husband (it was a legal, constitutional and societal upgrade from our 2011 Civil Partnership).
