They repurposed the old wooden escalators at Wynyard railway station in central Sydney into art, positioned directly above where they used to operate.
Still one of my favourite prints in the Transit Maps store – Travel Time by Rail, France, 1882. transitmap.net/store/produc...
A beautiful new print in the Transit Maps store – Chicago Rapid Transit Lines, c. 1936. The colors in this are just gorgeous: check out the Loop! transitmap.net/store/produc...
Today’s multimodal SF adventure - early morning cable car ride to avoid the hordes, 10 mile walk over the Golden Gate Bridge and back, 28 bus back to Fisherman’s Wharf, F line to Market & Church, J line to Mission Dolores Park (so sunny!) and then back to the start at Powell. What a day!
I do like the system map customized for the line the train is on, though!
New additions to the print store – four amazing new maps in @pinakographos.bsky.social's "Rivers of North America" series – the Mississippi and Colorado watersheds, and Northern California and Southern New England. transitmap.net/store/produc...
I don't get to print this diagram of the European E-road network very often, but I can still look at it with pride when I do. I can't say that about every piece of design I did five years ago! More info on the project here: transitmap.net/e-road-netwo...
It's Cyber Monday – the last day to get 15% off all prints in the Transit Maps store before Christmas (no more sales this year)! My original maps: transitmap.net/store/produc... Vintage reproductions: transitmap.net/store/produc...

Leaving aside whether or not you actually need to show branches/alternate termini like this (I would say you don't), this is a pretty ugly way to apply hatching to the Silver Line. The DC Metro map has done this much better before.
This superb isochrone of travel time by rail in 1882 France has always been one of the most popular prints on the site – and with good reason! transitmap.net/store/produc...
I'm printing up some maps tonight – add yours to my queue by placing an order now! I'll get out in the mail tomorrow. transitmap.net/store/prints...
Hey everyone! Time for a print giveaway – this awesome 1912 map of San Francisco was printed right at the end of a roll, and got skewed so the print isn't square on the sheet; otherwise it's perfect. You just pay shipping costs via PayPal or Venmo. First to DM me gets it! (US residents only, please)
When showing that Port Jervis sits on the the NY/PA border messes with your aesthetics...

Cute new “Next Station” displays on the MAX here in Portland. #transitmaps
The similarity to the F-Zug/Trans Europe Express rail diagram of the same year is striking.
Obligatory "Here's What Existed More Than 100 Years Ago/We Used To Be A Real Country" comparison map.
Pretty much – a railroad from "nowhere to nowhere" disconnected from the rest of the network (and always has been) and running some vintage railbus rolling stock – see photo. The line itself dates as far back as 1888. www.gulflander.com.au
And here's a side-by-side comparison of the two different approaches to this design problem. Mine is on the right, just in case that wasn't clear :-)
Meanwhile, 100 years ago... yep, that's a 70-mile electric interurban loop running through Boise, Caldwell, Meridian, Nampa and Eagle, plus city streetcars in Boise itself.
Flash sale – 15% off all prints in the store through the end of the month! Discount taken automatically. Original designs and vintage reproductions. transitmap.net/store/prints/
All ready for Amtrak Mardi Gras service this summer! I chose green for the line color to get the full festive complement of yellow-purple-green at New Orleans. As usual, there's one version with current routes, and another that shows the still "suspended" Sunset Limited route east of New Orleans.
@amtrak.com turned 54 yesterday! Here's my Vignelli-style diagram showing services as they existed in May 1971. Still really happy with how this one turned out. Zoomable version: transitmap.net/maps/amtrak-... Project page: transitmap.net/amtrak-may-1...
Time for a print store sale! Get 15% off all prints THIS WEEKEND ONLY. I've got fresh paper, new ink and a whole bunch of shipping tubes ready to send you something you'll love! Visir the print store here: transitmap.net/store/prints/
I love printing this digital reproduction I made of the infamous "No West Berlin" transit map originally published in 1989. transitmap.net/store/produc...
Patriotismo station on Line 9 gets a massive carved stone version of its station icon: a Mexican flag.
I think my favourite part of the CDMX Metro wayfinding system is the consistent presentation of important information in this continuous coloured strip - which is always visible above head height, even in crowded transfer corridors.
