Reminds me of when my 9-yr-old daughter won $1000 for a Women in Construction event for building the pyramids along the Nile with Lego. All the other kids made modern buildings. She's now 25 studying mechanical engineering with a minor in aeronautical engineering at University of Dayton
I was about to say "Bacon is probably the only thing that hasn't been recalled" until I double checked and found this
Been down the 101 many times but never stopped along the way. I'll have to check it out next time I'm back up there. Been in the US since 96 currently in Dayton Ohio. I have a pen and ink of my favorite spot at Kiwanis Pond in Truro, my hometown. Used be a stump 2 feet out I'd sit on for hours.
My industrial arts teacher in high school once stated, "There are two types of politicians; bare faced liars, and the rest grow beards." Seems he was quite right.
The last sentence should read "In the case of an incident, the officer must be removed from the field until an investigation is concluded BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES." www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
Stole this from another post, thought you might enjoy it. I wonder if the PM will chuckle too?
Daily dose of cute. There was 3rd fawn with another doe; it had the zoomies and I wasn't fast enough to catch him in the act.
Hello from Brule Shore! And HAPPY CANADA DAY!!! 1st time we've been in Canada on Canada Day in 30 years. Loving it!
A beautiful day today on Brule Shore Nova Scotia, and a perfect evening followed.
On Feb 28th, a week before we were to leave, we got a got call that my dad fell, had a massive heart attack, and hit his head. We packed up and the next day we drove 3 days from Dayton Ohio to the border at Calais Maine when we got the call that dad had just passed away. We were only 4 hours away.
I haven't posted for a bit. This month has sucked beyond imagination. We planned on driving to Nova Scotia for my grandmother's 100th birthday March 10th. She is an amazing woman who is younger than I am at 58. However, the best-laid plans are subject to change.
Another good Canadian perspective comes from Bruce McKinnon from the Chronicle Herald in Halifax NS.
Dammit, didnt mean to delete my reply to this.. I love @mluckovich.bsky.social's polital cartoons. One of my other faves is michael de Adder @deadder.bsky.social who brings a Canadian perspective.
Laid in bed last night about 2 hrs trying to get to sleep thinking about math to bore myself to sleep. Came up with this equation: x^2 - (ABS(x) - 1)^2 - 2×ABS(x) = -1 No matter the value of integer x, the difference from one square to next is (ABS(x)×2)+1. Helluva way to get get to sleep.
I'm a Buckeye fan but it has to be said... Must have been wabbit season last time 🤣
