Shrewd, crude, devious dude dressed dapperly in the thinnest veneer of propriety. (Game designer for R6 Siege, TTRPG fan, Excel guru, weeb) Views are mine and mine alone.
> Does everything to soothe a baby that's been having a difficult night > Finally give in and pour 70ml of formula > He drinks 5ml then passes out immediately
One month milestone! Lil guy's even got a decent bit of hair on his head now!
Me: Alright son, we've fed and changed you. Now we just need you to relax a bit so we can put you down to sleep for the rest of the night. Son:
Happy Canada Day from our happy little family. (The outfit is still a bit big for him, but we couldn't not use it.)
Proud of how our changing station has progressed. If I can offer one bit of advice, invest in disposable pee pads. Saves on a lot of cleaning in the case of spontaneous leaks. We also keep them under the bassinet/crib sheet to protect the mattresses. Worthwhile investment!
First change after I've taken over the night shift, and this goober son of mine poops himself right as I'm done cleaning and creaming him not once, but twice. Bro really made me go through the whole process two times then hit me with
Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there. I'm honoured to finally count myself among you this time around. My dad passed away before we got to know each other, so experiencing fatherhood like this really means more than I can put into words.
Look at my son, he's such an absolute goober. I love him so much ❤️❤️❤️
Once proudly displayed atop my kitchen shelves, my alcohol collection now resides in the pantry, hidden behind boxes of cereal and foil wrap. Perhaps someday, they shall return to the light, but today is not that day.
Goodbye umbilical cord. Sam has finally abandoned his little belly accessory. (Yes it's supposed to look like that. It shrivels up after you cut it from the placenta and then you let it detach naturally.)
I'm glad my mom knows and uses Sam's name now. Prior to the birth she just called him "Foxy Baby" (because of my wife's last name). Just... No. Though it makes me think that I should get my father in law this hat.
Scooped watermelon kinda making me feel like I'm eating a bunch of behelits... Say, when's the next eclipse?
Early morning snack ☺️ I'm very pleased at how perfectly my hotel fits the other half.
Well, more like I applied the pee from his clothes onto myself, but I still count it.
Yeah, you like that? That's what I though. Get well rested, bitch!
I think this was the longest it's taken to finally put him to sleep. That was almost two hours... But we got there. Sweet mercy, we finally got - Nope, never mind. Started crying as I typed this. FML Fox hat is cute tho
Okay this one actually came out quite nicely, and it's one of the few Steph's given me permission to post of her
Between the room being too dark and the positioning not really working, this ended up looking way goofier than intended
Since I've now shared a good photogenic shot of Sam, here are a few sillier ones from the hospital stay
Best photo I've gotten of him to date. Say hi to Samuel Loranger-Ahluwalia!
Part way through a swaddle and my boy looking like he's gotta get ready to master the four elements to defeat the Fire Lord.
Unrelated to the parenting stuff or Siege, if I can just weeb out for a moment. It's nice seeing "Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You" going viral. It's about time folks discovered that series of peak.
Baby's not born yet, but we're finally at the hospital. Lucky for me, it's also poutine day!
