I love your models! This one is lovely! It's an off week for the SAL, so I've been making progress on my abstract landscape. The big blocks of color and minimal color changes have been perfect for my current state of mind. #crossstitch #WIPWednesday

WIP of an abstract landscape in blues and purples. It's over half finished. At the bottom of the unfinished half are dark blue abstract pine trees against the white aida.

Further work on the abstract landscape. The dark blue abstract pine trees have been subsumed with less dark blue abstract pine trees, and while they mostly disappear in the picture, they're somewhat more visible in real life. It's very tone on tone and an effect that I like, even if I like it a whole lot less while I'm stitching it.

I moved my succulents not more than a month ago. They really like the new location. That bloomstalk is about 18" tall.

A small succulent sitting in a window, almost certainly some kind of haworthia but I lost the tag, in a 4" tall pot. It has an 18" tall bloomstalk leaning up against the window. It's hard to see the little white jug shaped flowers still at the top of the stalk.

Half of Exhibit 5 in the Museum SAL. It's a prehistoric creature cross stitched in red, green, and brown shades with pieces of a framework around it that will be filled in in future weeks.

The other half of Exhibit 5 of the Museum cross stitch. This one is flying but is also in the same shades of green/teal, brown, and red. It has a long latin name I've since forgotten.

The cross stitch abstract landscape in shades of blue and purple in large irregular blocks. Those blocks are definitely fitting together to look like mountains with pine trees in the foreground. There are now clusters of stitches in the "sky" that tgive an abstract impression of birds in flight.

I was at school in DC for a year, and being a poor student, I spent a lot of time at the Smithsonian. I never got past the impressionist wing of the National Gallery. So many of the Monets grabbed me, but this one most of all.

With the week off from the SAL, I've made a bunch of progress on the abstract landscape project. It's perfect for what I need right now - lots of long, dull blocks of color with minimal counting and color changes. #Crossstitch #wipwednesday

More progress :). Exhibit 4 of the #MuseumAfterMidnightSAL by @lolacrow.bsky.social and circular abstract landscape I'm working on in between. I'm glad there's a week off the SAL this week - I have had little brainpower for intricate work lately leading to much frogging. #crossstitch

An abstract landscape cross stitch project done in all dark purples and darker blues because I haven't gotten to the lighter parts yet. The bottom really looks like the outlines of pine trees which is good because it means I'm following the pattern. You can see that it's about 1/4 of a circle, which would lead one to believe that the project will be circular when done. One would be correct.

Progress continues apace on the current #crossstitch projects. Two of the three parts of Exhibit 3 of the #MuseumAfterMidnightSAL (don't worry if it doesn't make sense) and the abstract landscape, now somewhat less abstract. #WIPWednesday

A partly done cross stitch of some kind of hanging plant or goo in purple with some not finished stones around it, all in a Victorian style arch. More to some since it's a SAL.

More pf a partly finished cross sititch, this time a large red and black prehistoric millpede or centipede or something (I'm not stopping to count legs; it's a bug) and some dragonflies with ethereal white wings, all in the same Victorian arched framework.

A partly done abstract landscape (look, they're all partly done; it's WIP Wednesday after all) that is now more than just purple blobs - it also has blue blobs! The bottom of the dark blue blob towards the bottom is crenellated to look like pine trees, which it's supposed to.

These are the current feline members of the household. Each one of them is a pest and a nuisance and I love them beyond all reason and would defend them to the ends of the Earth😁.

Two #crossstitch WIPs: - First exhibit done on the #MuseumAfterMidnightSAL (there's more rolled up but I'm not taking it out of the hoop until I have to!) - Much simpler project in colors I like for the days between finishing one exhibit and release of the next.

Finally "finished" the frame for #MuseumAfterMidnightSAL. I haven't had a piece fight me this hard in ages. (Just to be clear: It's NOT the pattern. @lolacrow.bsky.social patterns are really fantastic in every sense of the word!)

This Gambel's Quail is giving the cat conniptions. There is a window between them but the cat doesn't care. #birds

#WIPWednesday Still working on the #MuseumAfterMidnightSAL frame. It's not terribly exciting, but it does form the foundation for the rest of the piece. First picture is the second row all done because the second picture is after I moved the hoop. #crossstitch

Museum After Midnight stitch along - the middle part of the frame is done. It's brownish arches and pieces of columns and floors. It won't look like much until there are exhibits stitched in there to make it look like, you know, a museum.

I'll be working on the #MuseumAfterMidnightSAL frame for awhile - for reasons completely unrelated to the SAL ( @lolacrow.bsky.social has the best crafted SALs!) I am just having a beast of a time with it.

A cross stitch WIP that looks like an arch and short columns. The background aida is grayish brown and there's a blue grid with numbers written all over it.

Another cross stitch finish. This is one of my favorite series of patterns - not only are the kittens adorable, but also I find them enjoyable to stitch. Except all the French knots on this one. Still love the kitten though.

Artists, if you see this post a bird.🪶 Any art form; no-AI 🎨 I'm not an artist - I'm a crafter. I didn't create the pattern, but I did stitch it. And there are enough mistakes -uh, "personalizations" - that it is truly one of a kind 😁

Mostly finished cross stitch project that is now clearly a gray and white tabby kitten with adorable paws. He's sitting in a pink flower with heavy gradation on the petals from light peach to dark pink. He also has pink wings with some yellow sparkles around them. But not the called-for French knot yellow sparkles.
