For your viewing pleasure, I also doodled a portrait of an unfortunate typo I made while typing up the last post.

The same portrait as before except instead of a handsome head, a mixed drink glass with a little lime slice wedged on its rim is present. This is Mr Daiquiri from when I horribly mistyped “Mr Darcy” as “Mr Dacry” before correcting it.

I had to stop and take a few minutes to doodle out a little dreamt visual of Mr Darcy.

I went into a fugue state and cartooned my feelings at reading this passage. I have floppy dark hair and round glasses. My head is tilted back, my mouth wide open, steam billowing out of it looking like a smoke stack. Mr Darcy’s words hang prominently around me.

“In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.”

My therapist challenged me to throw a big birthday party for myself, a thing I am loathe to do because I dislike being around people. So I set up this thing to read tarot cards for all my guests so I could have everybody over at once and also not feel overwhelmed. And it worked! It was a nice time.

Me—an Asian fellow with dark-rimmed glasses and a dark shirt with a white collar while sporting an enormous smile—seated behind a little round wooden table beneath a children’s bed canopy I purchased for the occasion. I have a deck of tarot cards in front of me.

This thread technically starts in a New Game+, which I think is fun. My sorceress, Aurelia, has bounced out of the opening sequence with an immodest amount of vim, summoned her pawn, Graham, and is ominously floating around through the woods.

A witch with a pointy hat and a long staff floats around in the woods while her barbarian companion, an enormously burly man with a comically large sword, bounds along behind her.

Okay, video game journal thread, here we go. It’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 time. Hopefully this will encourage me to take this game a little slower.

So she can correctly identify that a lot of young women are still attracted to men; they just don’t like patriarchy. That’s it. That should have been the whole thing. The rest of it is just circuitously complaining about not feeling cool enough for the lefty queer kids as a “boring straight lady.”

I’ve highlighted a passage that says “Young women are approximately as into men as ever before but less into the whole straight thing than in previous generations..”

My friend is starting a big D&D campaign, so I spent the day doing everybody’s characters. I’m not sure this is everyone yet, but it’s what we got so far.

A lineup of fantasy characters. There are two satyr women, a centaur, a leonine gladiator, a poisoner, and a clueless monk.
