After dealing with surgeries from being hit by a semi last November, then pneumonia x 3 after the surgery, I am FINALLY walking my favorite spot again. Today’s walk is Lincoln Park. Yesterday was Seahurst Park. I’m already tired & sore, but I’m walking! Feeling pretty proud of myself 😊

Got two of your prints put up yesterday. My granddaughter (age 18 months) loves them too 😊 I love seeing my old mountains each night before I go to bed.

My son’s favorite Halloween costume was a black cape & face paint. Easiest costume I’ve ever had to make. No wondering I’m still smiling. 😊

I have to give The Seattle Times credit that the Iranian missile attack made the front page. But the attack was FRIDAY! Not exactly timely reporting. 🫤

She was such an adorable kitten! That’s my mom’s cat Inky playing foster dad for her while we transitioned her into an indoor kitten. He was always so patient with cats & kittens we fostered & transitioned. She was pretty rambunctious. 🥰

Awww, be still my heart. So precious! I had a voucher to neuter one of the feral cats living in my garage. Went out to feed “him” one morning & heard mewing in my chicken coop. Turns out Sonny was a girl. She became Sunny, & her sole kitten is Mimi (short for Screamy Mimi). The chickens didn’t mind.

I’m sorry for your loss. When I had to put Rusty to sleep because of his cancer, a week later a very smelly, but friendly male kitten showed up on my back porch meowing to be let inside during a blizzard. I swear I saw Rusty by our greenhouse. I let the little stinker in. L- Rusty & R- Clyde

I don’t have her anymore. She’s one of the dogs I had to surrender when I moved here. Hence the year of therapy when I got here. It really broke me. But she & Kyla got adopted as a bonded pair, so I know they’re okay. Laila was big, but if you zoom in you get an idea how big Kyla was. Best dogs ever

Brilliant and humane. Having a fur baby is what motivates a lot of folks to even get out of bed. After my car accident I was in & out of wheelchairs to walkers for about 6 months. My girl Laila was patient & encouraging getting me out for walks. I wouldn’t be walking today if not for her.

Yeah teach them bath time is fun while they’re young, or it’s like mud wrestling when they get older. 🫤 Kyla made such a fuss once the neighbors called the police to do a welfare check. When they saw the field of destruction she’d caused, they laughed so hard, they couldn’t talk.

Okay they want to play semantics. Fine. But words evolve over time. Bad once meant bad, now it means cool or good. And sometimes it still means bad. If I look up the definition, the 1st thing I got was this. The 3rd definition most closely resembles how the term is used today.

Not fair! My rescue dog was literally found in a dumpster with a size 12 boot print on her ribcage with 2 broken ribs. She was skin & bones. One of the best dogs I’ve ever had. That’s her on her 1st night home with her 1st toy.

Well I think we’re getting into semantics here, because if the flea is on the prairie dog, it’s essentially carrying it. And I think your message is it’s a pet. Either way, the dog was pretty well behaved with it. Like my dogs were great with this skunk. Luckily it just poofed them, didn’t spray.

Day 1 of being off my allergy meds before I do my allergy testing next week. It’s going to be a LOOOONG week 😢

Seattle was perfect today! I hope everyone else had a good & relaxing weekend. We all need a break from the constant chaos Felon47 & his clown car of imbeciles creates each week. Hold onto hope. Hold onto the folks you love. It’s going to be a rough ride ahead, but we’ve got this. 👍

Went to Bellingham to pick up my granddaughter from college & stopped at this little cafe for breakfast & a HUGE piece of chocolate cake to celebrate the end of the semester. If you’re ever there, stop in, good food & lots of charm.

The garden today is smelling particularly divine. So thankful 🥰

I volunteer with at a place called The Heron’s Nest on the Duwamish Greenbelt. A couple of ladies bought 5 acres that was essentially a dumping site for local industries & were rehabilitating the land to return to the Duwamish tribe. The progress already made is astounding!

Did my walk at a local park this morning that has a lot of forest trails that take you into the Duwamish Greenbelt. So I used my birding app that helps me identify birds by their calls. Lots of new birds for me. But I didn’t actually see a single birds 🫤 I really need binoculars!

I made a spinach & smoked salmon soufflé for dinner. It tasted as good as it looked 😋 Made up for the awful turkey & chickpea burgers I made yesterday.

My son-in- law shared this with me the other day. It’s how I felt when my granddaughter woke up at 4 am. Luckily she fell back asleep in my bed and she slept until 5:30. Not ideal, but way better than 4 am 😔

I was going to practice painting hydrangeas this morning now that the little ones are at the park with dad. But nope, kitten has other plans 🫤

Well done! We had a feral cat named Shadow. For the 1st 2 years I didn’t think she could meow. Turned out she could talk, but petting was a no-no. You take the wins where you can get them. 😊
