I watch horror movies. I watch TV. I watch Chicago sports. I go to concerts. 3 of those things are fun.
Got another horror movie in tonight. I liked this one. It had a lot of cringe comedy and that’s not usually my thing, but the cast was so good and the story didn’t suck either. #Horror365Challenge 107
Life hasn’t given me many opportunities to watch horror movies lately, and I chose poorly tonight. This isn’t good. You might like it and that’s fine. Dude Where’s My Car is in my top ten films and I don’t judge. But this isn’t good. #Horror365Challenge 106
Share a TV show you love from the 2020s. 📺🖤 My choice: The best murder mystery comedy since Clue, The Afterparty.
First horror movie in a while for me. This one’s incredibly dull for a movie about sexy witches who worship Marilyn Monroe. #Horror365Challenge 104
I guess if you want me to like a remake, all you have to do is cast Samara Weaving, Timothy Oliphant, and Juliette Lewis. Simple enough. #Horror365Challenge 103
Back on horror for the first time in a while. It’s Adam Scott in a bottle movie, so that’s cool, but coherence was lost in the atmosphere. #Horror365Challenge 102
My last two watches are pretty much exact opposites of each other. Family, amirite?
Loved Daisy Ridley and the cinematography, didn’t love that her character kept getting dumber as the movie proceeded. #Horror365Challenge 101
I was on board with this one up until there were about 15 minutes left. Not a good movie. Felt like one, wasn’t one.
Tonight’s Simpsons is “The Front”. Depending on what you define as a Grampa Simpson episode, this is either the second or third best one. I still can’t quite fit it into my top 40.
Back on my bottle movie bullshit today. This one isn’t perfect, but it checked all the boxes and kept me invested. #Horror365Challenge 100
Accidentally started watching a rom-com because it features Anna Kendrick, Stephen Merchant, Craig Robinson, Lisa Kudrow, and like ten other awesome people. Gonna stick it out.
Went with The Asylum for today’s movie, and got the results I expected. #Horror365Challenge 99
Pick a Bond villain from the photos you already have on your phone
This is horror adjacent action sci-fi, but I’m more than a month behind on the challenge so I’ll count it. It’s also entertaining as long as you don’t devote any brain cells to it. #Horror365Challenge 98
🎶 All these worried troubled thoughts got to get on outta my head 🎶 Haha yeah sure whatever. I needed this shit.
3/4ths of Soul Asylum at Evanston’s Space. I was not prepared for how an opening acoustic salvo of mostly Grave Dancers Union and Let Your Dim Light Shine would affect me. I love this fuckin band.
Rolling up to see Soul Asylum tonight. As always, only the best tunes on the way in.
Good Omens ruled. Cast, story, and VFX are all about as good as it gets.
This one got in my bones a little. I get how it’s not for everyone but I found it very effective. #Horror365Challenge 97
The cast, the kills, and a couple clutch needle drops are enough to keep this fun, even if the story is kind of half-baked. #Horror365Challenge 96
This was an absolute blast. All flashy and gory action sequences and a killer soundtrack. #Horror365Challenge 95
Felix from Orphan Black and Alice from The Magicians both fall in love with the same narcotic-skinned alien. A little too atmospheric for me but not bad. #Horror365Challenge 94
This movie’s even more absurd than the original, but let’s be real: I could watch Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton wait for a bus for two hours and I’d probably still give it a 7 out of 10. #Horror365Challenge 93
Chop Top Moseley, Lauren LaVera, weird shit. What else do you need to know? #Horror365Challenge 92
