Look what just came in the mail! It’s perfect, look how tiny it is (the 86 really is not a big car either 😂)!!
Since car is curing and I will also 100% procrastinate the masking of the black parts… I worked on another dumb little thing 😝
That’s how the 86 looks so far! Considering how thick the paint is, I will leave it to cure for a day before I do anything with it 😅
Since Hawkeye is done and I really should not paint pictures daily (or I burn out in no time lol) I continued work on the Ae86! Finished the engine bay with the lead wires and made kind of a mess with superglue 😝 #histscalemodels
You rub it until your fingers feel funny (or use an eraser 😂) Depending on your paper (should not have fuzzy texture!) it will come off without damaging it. After that your whole floor looks like this and you can do another cleaning session yey! 🥳
Oh and they also contain my favorite thing (NOT): Masking!!! I think I already burned half a bottle of masking fluid but this is how I do the backgrounds 😂

It’s varnish day = I‘m procrastinating…. Did you know that while my watercolor box has no company label it features a hand made (build from package tape) Kamen Rider Ichigo Sticker? I marvel how this thing survived to the day, probably because it’s Ichigo. Nazi kicking heroes are the best!
A went to the art store to buy another pen but end up buying another small watercolor box. Does a person need 4 watercolor sets? Technically no…but!!!

One of the tiny red stickers on the rotor blades completely fell apart in water so one of these is now painted on 😂😅
Okaaay I think this is enough! There is a small pile left which is mostly the other rotor option and stuff for who knows where 😂 I still think those stencils are far too pronounced and over scaled but it is what it is 😅 #bastilleBuild #histscalemodels

And the broken decal is on! Liquid decal film kept it together although 2 layers were definitely too much it had the beauty of an Tamiya decal. I kept messing with it and accidentally removed the whole film again but the paint is still on soooo… ok cool!
Over night (that was far too hot) the Decals lay down really nicely. Sadly I did not manage to make the anchor run exactly along the panel lines but honestly I‘m still shocked how well it went on there😂 Time to do the rest! #bastilleBuild
