I managed to fit 4 full and 2 partial. Southwest curbside said my hockey bags are oversized and were gonna charge $200 each extra. I said I’d never been dinged before for oversized with these same bags. They said they are enforcing it now. He said he would “let it slide this time”

Dang it trouble with planning my first big travel con(s) is figuring out who gets to go. (MP & MFM) Got limited luggage space. (The usual choices plus a Wolf and perhaps a Falco, and that other guy I rarely mention but he shines plenty on his own. For now I remain his silent partner and agent)

I swear this will all make sense soon. Just kinda been forging ahead on this, math and assumptions and figuring out all the scribbled circles and arrows and descriptions on the back.

Pieces of paper cut out as a fabric pattern. Never mind I don’t have any red fur so Falco will have orange around his eyes, but I’m committed to this and I can’t let a color mismatch get in the way of making this thing happen even without a foam understructire. I’ll just figure that out when I get there.

Working on bunny paws. Back in 2009, builders seemed to glue everything. Nilla Bean had fur soles that were glued edge to edge with the foam and foot tops. Easily unglued when left out in the sun for a few hours. I’ve replaced the size 13 slippers with size 11, and added some foam under-fur.

Glad ya like him! Nilla Bean is a January 2009 creation by Lacy/Fursuiting I adopted in 2021, and have been doing some misc refurbishing lately.

Further Confusion 2009, Lacy’s Boomer puppy (German shepherd with blue highlights, and Nick’s unnamed white lop-eared bunny who later became Nilla Bean.

Flashback to 2009, when everything was hot glued. Next challenge: how much to refurb vs replace vs redo on these ancient feet paws?

Attention to de-tail! Nilla Bean gets a bunny tail glow-up. Original 2009 tail was solid upholstery foam core, fur attached by hot glue. I unglued all the fur, took the pattern and reproduced it in a fluffier fur with only fiber-filling. “It’s 47 times softer!” —Mrs. Sarnicky #FursuitFriday
