Our local animal shelter, the Animal Protective League, here in Springfield, I'll have its two main buildings destroyed by storms last night. All but 1 of the animals we've adopted while in Illinois have come through them. Absolutely gutted.

I think I posted earlier this year that our cat Oreo is 20. I had the day wrong. She turned 20 today! 20!! We've had her for all of that time except the first 3 months of her life. She has mismatched eyes (blue, green) and a short bent tail that she was born with. A friend called her Crank Cat.
