He willed his rage through the ether. If the Blight could perceive emotion, it will know his fury.

“I said GET OUT!” Edwin roared and swung his arm. Magic pulsed from his body, sending leaves and twigs disintegrating into the air, showering him and his companions in ash.

The magical tendrils retracted. Edwin didn’t know whether he had scared away the predator, or if it was simply sated from its kill. But regardless, the Blight vanished back into the Flow, where it was no doubt searching for its next victims.

Edwin glared daggers as ash collected on the bridge of his muzzle. The Blight would pay.

Not well. 🥲 While Edwin is more than capable of defending himself, he knows that if he fights back, it'll be the weird forest hobo that'll be thrown sent to jail. Or the gallows. 😰 #QueerPrompts

He clenched his jaw from the pain as the ewe assailed his back and sides with her stomps and kicks.

Perhaps he deserved this. How pathetic did he look curled into a ball, cowering before a sheep in a fancy dress?

“Alright, alright, Cumulous. You’ve had enough,” Izolda moaned, more out of annoyance than compassion.

Cumulous got one last kick in, right in Edwin’s cheek.

Before the buck could act, he was once again pressed into the dirt. All he could see was the women’s feet. Behind them, flowers drooped, weeping helplessly for him.

A mix of emotions swirled within him as he stroked a finger on one of his spots. Melancholy, sorrow, but also a hint of…pride. He liked the way he looked. He liked that he inherited a part of his mom that he loved so much.

Edwin’s bruised chest swelled and his ears fell. “I’ll make it better,” he whispered.
He touched the ground, tapped into the Flow, and directed some magic into the ivy. New growth budded off the burnt vines.
Edwin smiled a little, gingerly thumbing a leaf. The ivy curled affectionately around his fingers before he rose. The nearby trees fretted over him. “I’ll be okay, thanks,” he murmured, hoarsely.

He dried himself, put on the robe and stepped out of the washroom feeling like a new deer. He glanced around the hallway wondering how to call—
“Have a good bath, Mr. Batcher?”
Edwin jumped and squealed, whirling around to find Gairovald standing there behind him. He swore that boar wasn’t there a second ago. He sensed for magic, but found none.
“Good gods,” Edwin hissed.

I've had this drawing partially done for months, but I can't decide how I want to color it. Colored pencil would take forever with the vines, but I'm not sure if I'm confident enough with markers yet. 🤔

After shedding blood together in a fight to save the Forest, Reginald treats Edwin to a tea party! (Featuring Gairovald the boar maid) ☺️

Gairovald returned wheeling out a small cart that had a three-tiered stand, a teapot, and cups. Edwin’s eyes bulged and his jaw hung loose when Gairovald set the stand on the table. His eyes were dazzled by an array of miniature sandwiches with no less than three different types of bread stuffed with a combination of cucumber, shaved carrot, hummus, cheese, spinach, bean sprouts and pesto.
The maid then brought out the ornate tea set with various flowers painted on them, and poured the floral-scented tea.
