Here is a not so nice mushroom called a False Morel which can apparently kill you even if you breathe in the fumes from cooking it! Hopefully you have to cook more than one…..
Up on the Sunshine Coast in BC and I have never seen so many loons. Got this picture with my cell phone it was so close! Hopefully this is a good sign. #birds
Just for a switch from cherry blossoms these are plum blossoms - sadly only ornamental.
In honour of #earthday the great squirrel rescue of 2026! I found this little guy on the ground and put him in a box with a towel to keep him warm and hoped his mum would come and get him - which she did but it took her about 5 hrs. He was almost the same size but she hauled him up the tree!
Pompom cherry blossoms in Vancouver. I always wonder why they grow that way. PS Apple tree behind in case you were wondering what the white blossoms were.

OK Mr Crow - first of all that suet ball is supposed to be on the feeder not on the ground and secondly it is supposed to be for all the birds not just you! Finally it’s expensive so it would be really nice if you didn’t peck it to pieces inside of five minutes. Sigh.
Look who came for a visit in North Vancouver this morning! Of course saw him and then I couldn’t find my phone so I was having a panic attack but finally got it and he posed very nicely for me before flapping off. 😃 #birds
We are having an atmospheric river here and it has been pouring for several days. So why are the birds still using the bird bath? I would be hiding under a bush and trying to stay dry. Any ideas? #birds

Look at the amazing embroidery on this jacket and waistcoat from the Royal Collections Museum in Madrid! You can even identify the flowers. Worth enlarging. So pleased that no one decided it was out of date and should be thrown out…..
