I have been showing two pieces of my Vintage Collection every stream. My latest reveal were the twins from the Acolyte. Very happy to snag these in the wild when I see them.
I remember the night I won the belt and became the world champion.
The streets of my childhood were populated by the fastest little cars known to kids. In 1985, McDonald’s even dropped these "Fast Mac" Penny Racers. Slip a penny in the back for extra weight, pull back, and watch it pop a wheelie. We spent way too much of Grade 9 racing these in the cafeteria.
I like to mix up what I play and do dabble in some FPS. During my last Enlisted session, I managed to blow the top of a tank. I was not expecting that!
Before Spotify, the Sony Walkman was absolute freedom. We had our single tape of our favortie songs we would play over and over as we walked or biked. Having the battires die on your far from home was a bummer. Want to listen to a particular song? Better have great fast forwarding skills.
I was never a fan of Orange Julius' drinks, but their hot dogs rocked in the 80s. I always snagged one when I hit the mall.
This week on Twitch, we are going in search of things there were never meant to be found by mere mortals. We will be playing Call Of The Elder Gods. Swing by Tueday & Thursday at 8PM EST!
I was somehow unaware that they made ID4 toys and they may be my second grail hunt next to the LJN Dune toys.
As the Retro Historian, I can tell you that this is a very good example of “don’t try to lowball me, I know what I got”.
Take me back to the days where my local mall had a fountain that would spray water up two stories with a light show every 30 minutes or so just because life was too short.
When times got tough in the 80s, a few whiffs of these would put your right back on track.
Being a kid in the 80s meant playing on some of the coolest playground equipment born from captialism.
I do not recall too many who liked Ornage Julius for their drinks, but I found their hot dogs to be divine in the 80s.
Tonight at 8pm EST, I will be hiding from humans while running a gas station. It should be an out of this world expereince. Only on Twitch!
Canadians in the 80s all knew about Laurentien Coloured Pencils. Most of us had the twelve pack, but the real ballers had the twenty-four pack.
Back in the 80s, we would race these bad boys in our cafferteria at high school. I wish they would have these kind of cool happy meal toys again.
The 80s cereal line was something else and something magical. There were some limitted time brands offered and I ate them all.
As buggy as it was, I really enjoued playing Darklands (1992). With its deep RPG system and being based on the Holy Roman Empire in the 15th century, it really held my attention on many weekends.
This is my Twitch Recap. It is small… and a little broken, but I made it all by myself. Thanks to everyone who shows up when they can, enjoys my bad puns and finds a smile once in a while from my content. #TwitchRecap2025
New desk is up and running. Now we can create some real content!
I think a lot of us had the D&D basic set aka the good old red box. The feeling I expected when I got the Expert set was incredible. More levels. Most spells. More monsters. Wilderness rules. Strongholds! Love the old blue set, which I still have.
Playing some Pool Of Radiance tonight and having some classic D&D thoughts. Should be live on Twitch around 8pm EST or a bit after. All are welcome!
Back in the mid 80s, slime was all the rage. You could buy cans of it and stain the carpets in your house quite easily. Everyone was jumping on the slime trend and that included He-Man. You could buy this nifty toy, pour slime over your figures and then try to clean them off.
Back in the 2000, McDonald's had triple cheeseburgers and dino size fries. The dino size fries literally came in a huge paper cup with enough calories to feed family of four for a week... allegedly.
We are back on our streaming nonsense tongiht at 8pm EST with some Arc Raiders fun. Also, we will be playing "In It Or Not" with Dan Akroyd. I name 10 films. You have to figure out if Dan Akroyd was in them or not.
The 80s were the golden age of console gaming. I missed when my local K-Mart (when we had one) had an Atari setup that was like visiting paradise.
Whelp, we are back at House of Ashes tonight and will finish it off. As you know, I have really weak nerves, so this will fun for everyone... but me. Twitch. 8PM EST. Bring your best horror movie takes.
Back in the 70s and 80s, I was fuelled by large steel cans of sugar with a splash of juice.
