July 2019 and July 2026, view from same pedway. Hard to believe it’s still a hot mess on 102Ave in downtown Edmonton 7 whole years later.
Just to clarify, this was NOT the snowbirds I was referring to buzzing downtown Edmonton today, they were the airplane snowbirds.
June 2020 (grandma & grandpa pandemic daycare) & today. How can this wee little boy be turning 9 this fall but more importantly, how did we get this old? 👵🏻👴🏻❤️
Upstairs neighbour here, this is a good depiction of me when I’m out on my bike in my City despite many kms of protected bike lanes.
A lovely (almost 25km) toot on our bikes today, lots of twigs & various other tree detritus from all the crazy storms these last few days. One very large tree completely blocking the road on Riverside Drive. Yikes!
As the storm front sidled past, a wee group of @coffeeoutside.bsky.social ‘ers gathered at Ezio Faraone Park.
On my bike ride today, spotted the perogy moon which reminded me I had dry curd cottage cheese, fresh dill & green onions at home. Yes, I made perogies (since they don’t make themselves.) 👵🏻 cc: @jimwacho.bsky.social
When you’re too lazy to grab a spoon to get some cornstarch & try to shake some out instead. That.
I know it’s long distance from 🇨🇦 but I spoke to my good friend, mitch mcconnell, for about 20 minutes today
From our last trip over the southern border way back in 2019, New York skyline from Central Park, an iPhone photo. #wide #blueskyartshow
Happy Canada Day! It’s cold up here, we have moose and mosquitos and say sorry a lot but dammit it’s good to be Canadian.
Can’t help to wonder what the person was thinking when they spied a shriveled vanilla bean, cut it open & said “I’ll bet that sticky sh*t tastes good.” Pro-tip: stick the scraped jackets into a sealed container with sugar to elevate your baking game.
I’d be willing to donate to get a sign like this installed on 109St heading towards the High Level Bridge after witnessing a truck smack the east entrance, back up & smash his truck again at west entrance. Semi came along shortly after & aborted his approach only once member of public waved him off.
Local playground in Edmonton finally gets a water feature courtesy of Mother Nature.
Meanwhile in Edmonton… Lifted off that site that rhymes with space look.
Happy 40th birthday to my 1st born. Here he is on his 2nd birthday with 20-something year-old me one week before his little sister arrived.
