Your nuanced take is unlikely to manifest itself in reality.
Incorrect headline from the @nytimes.com No reporter spoke to his doctor. The actual story cites a letter released from McConnell’s office purportedly written by McConnell himself. But the NYT did not seek to question or confirm the authenticity of the letter.
The new owner will save ~$2.5 billion over the next 15 years in Federal income taxes on his annual $500m income. Because he bought a football team. If he bought S&P index funds, he'd get none of that. I'd like to see a real accountant work me through all this.
I reserve the right to throw shade at Rabbi Ammi Hirsch. A small man with a big job. His rhetoric is nonsensical. Recapture the lost ground of the fallen golden age? The ultimate test of national character is what? Does the test apply to North Korea, Gabon, and Vatican City?
The NYT again hedges the obvious. Here a rich guy with “no known” national security experience is now in charge of national intelligence of the most powerful country on earth.
Imagine being the intern tasked with generating the graphic for this article.
BREAKING NYT: Something that seems bad to some is deepening concerns among others.
That NYT “__ Is Not What You Think” headline format…. “Why Everyone Is Wrong About __”, etc.
Is there an editor still alive at the NYT? Here, grocery prices drove up the prices of certain groceries. What groceries? From tomatoes to seafood, which are a list of items in reverse alphabetical order?
The NYT is casually playing along with the charade that this has anything to do with why, in 2026, we are choking out the Cuban people.
There’s this mysterious fifth force of nature that does nothing but raise questions. Nobody knows who or what it is but, like dark matter, we know it exists.
