It was predicted over and over that climate change would push food prices sky high. No one ever mentioned greedflation and the petrol billionaires trying to thwart the energy transition. Anyway, here's my vegetarian lunch for the week. Its cheap and yum and I should have shifted my diet years ago.
Ive moved to vegetarian lunches lately. Theyre cheaper and honestly just nice and light. I made this tomato soup from scratch and its really tasty with the chiffonade basil and a whole wheat scone.

Couldn't get ingredients for tomato basil soup today but peppers were on sale and I had lots of cilantro, so I came up with a mexi-version of roasted red pepper soup with cumin, smoked paprika, corn and chopped cilantro added after it was off the heat. Its sweet and smoky and tangy too.
He's not usually that into current events but Carney's speech has sucked him in.
Here's a bit of good news to interupt your nightly doom scroll. Our committee held a bake sale to benefit local families in need last weekend. We got soooo many donations from the community that we raised over $2000. People are essentially good.
