I gotta know what dimension is behind this door.
I feel like these song titles really paint a clear picture of their "rocky" relationship.
If you look closely you can spot the still proposed Lower Manhattan Expy, Mid Manhattan Expy, the extension of the Clearview Expy south, and inexplicably, I-678 running along Northern Blvd to the Queens-Midtown Tunnel!
Before the IBX there was the Cross-Brooklyn Expressway. archive.org/details/1967...
The similarities to my redesign from two years back aren't lost on me. I hope it was a helpful tool for the designers on this one. www.vanshnookenraggen.com/_index/2024/...
If the opening sentance of your story is factually incorrect, I'm just going to close the tab.
You know a market is trash when they start posting AI slop ads.
Queensway brought a bunch of school children to speak at the Finance Committee meeting because if you oppose the Met Hub, you hate children.
This is incorrect. All subway lines use standard gauge tracks, and IND trains clearly run on BMT tracks and vice versa. IRT car bodies are more narrow, meaning there are wider gaps between IRT trains and BMT/IND platforms.

We've shared our alternative Met Hub plans with the city and they didn't bite. There is no reason that part of Met Hub couldn't be built today with enough space for transit to be added later. This is a deliberate choice made by the Parks Dept. and Mayor's office.
NYC Parks, Queensway, & TfPL don't want a train here. The plan from day 1 was to use the entire ROW for park space and intentionally design the Queensway in a way that would require demolishing the entire park to add trains later. Anyone claiming this won't preclude transit is lying or an idiot.
Obligatory "I'm in London and I like trains" shit.
Let the Mayor and your other elected representatives know that you want QueensLink! thequeenslink.org/get-involved...
Why doesn't the MBTA have a subway line that serves Chelsea? It's close to downtown Boston but cut off by geography and poor transportation decisions. In my latest blog post, I explore the fascinating history of why Chelsea has always been just out of reach. www.vanshnookenraggen.com/_index/2026/...

Finally, I have to call out @stefanoschen.bsky.social for this odd choice to call Travis Terry a "longtime supporter". That's like calling Robert Moses an "interested commuter". Terry is a founding member and director of Queensway, former president of Capalino, and board member of the RPA.
