If you are in the Crystal Falls, Michigan area this weekend for the Humongous Fungus Fest, please stop by the Crystal Falls Library for the annual book sale. It's a great opportunity to support our fantastic local library.
If you live in Michigan's 1st District, I urge you to check out Kyle Blomquist (www.blomquistforcongress.com) who is running for Jack Bergman's seat in Congress. I went to his town hall in Iron River tonight and liked what he had to say. He's a democratic socialist.
Even though we still had some snow flurries last week, the signs of Spring are popping up everywhere. The toad lillies are particularly prolific.
Another favorite activity of mine in Spain is going to the markets. This is the Mercado de Atarazanas in Malaga. It's always a lovely and interesting scene.
This symbolizes the pomegranate, symbolic of Granada. This image is everywhere.
Random shot of a walkway in the historic Albaicin neighborhood, Granada, Spain. The stones come from two different area rivers, which is why they are different colors.
One of my favorite things about Spain is going to flamenco shows. Tonight I attended a show in Granada, in a cave in the Sacromonte neighborhood. The guitarist was great, as were the dancers.
It's always a good idea to support your local library. Reading IS fundamental.
