🏳️🌈 💍 🇭🇷, but I live in Southend-on-Sea now. Love to bake, love a good videogame. Formerly obsessed with Fallout (my Vault Boy tattoos are an indelible proof of that) and I also take photos on 35mm film. Love me some horror films. He/him #believeinfilm
This year's railway bridge commission is made by the local artist Elleanna Chapman. There's an interesting story to it, that one of the local museum curators told me about...
We have a mandatory 'town hall' (hate that term so much) right now and the number of attendees writing 'hi' and 'present' in the chat is just... The session is tracked, what are you guys doing? Is the boot really that delicious?
Well, time to finish this. Can't believe it's been nine months since I last worked on it
Olympus Trip 35 is obviously not a nighttime-friendly camera given its f/2.8 lens and maximum of ISO 400, but I still went ahead and shot a lens of Candido 800 (repackaged Kodak Vision 500t sans remjet) at last night's Dolly, organised by @drwsplnd.com
Baking therapy for today is a batch of kiflice (bread rolls). Nothing fancy really, but I didn't rush them this time so they all came out uniform. That'll do. Meltdown DELAYED
Human Lanterns (1982) I was hoping for more horror meets wuxia rather than the other way around. It's quite a bizarre film, as the title itself suggests. Still quite fun, but I've definitely seen better (and much wilder) from Hong Kong.
📷 Olympus PEN EES 2 (good God, every time I type that model name...) x Ilford FP4 35mm shot at native speed 📅 2026 (took a while to finish this roll so can't really say what was photographed when) 📍Southend-on-Sea, and also a bit of London (Comptons) #believeinfilm #35mm
Judging from the demo I just played, PHASE ZERO might just be the closest thing to all the old-school Resident Evil games - plays just like them. Made by a small Polish studio (less than 10 devs iirc who are all industry pros, though), but with such skill, you'd think it's a bigger budgeted title.
One of my favs is finally out in 4k here in the UK (a whole seven months after the US release!)
That's me! My friend took this back in April. Can't remember the exact camera he used, but it must have been one of the Chinons. Definitely Ilford FP4, and the developer was Ilford's also.
Went to Body Shop and they have me this lil freebie. An accidental 'gay rights!' moment, but I'm not using this on Drew's back!
I didn't get to see my friends in London this afternoon because all the lines were down 😭 (both C2C and Greater Anglia!), I was so upset about it, but what can you do. This bloody heat. Luckily I found a place in Southend that does great frozen margaritas. It can fix me... Maybe.
Returnal really is a remarkable videogame, isn't it? It's quite tough - I've only reached Biome 5 after like 35 hours of playing, but it's so addictive. One more run. Just one more run and then I'm done. No, one more maybe.
Šapice s rogačem ('bear paws' with carob) - biscuits baked in Madeleine moulds and covered in icing sugar.
IMO I liked this a lot, but I still think the original is a tiny bit better. I appreciated how much developers wanted to expand on the combat, but it didn't really need all this. Sometimes less is more.
This is what I wrote elsewhere. My feelings might change once I've watched the last two episodes, but for now this is how I feel.
I did not. I did however enjoy (?) the saddest, driest scone ever. It was in one of the tea shops across the road.
This year there's three and it seems they might all make it. They are so adorable 🥹 (except when they screech at 4:30 AM)
Haven't played a game in weeks, so I chose Fatal Frame 2 as my next title. I'll try not to rush through it (the way I did when I replayed the original a couple of years ago)
