photo of my swan piece for my 2d art foundations uni class!! class was studying the gestalt principles (i already know it from my graphic design core lol),, we studied an object and mine was a little porcelain swan!! for this piece, i wanted to use closure to suggest shapes (i.e., the beak), as well as use proximity and repetition to make it interesting and abstract! i used an orange acrylic underpainting and did the rest in charcoal and oil pastels.
