Our smaller then usual vegan potluck last night was an Indian theme. Curried chickpeas, samosas, rice, and I made a mango curry tofu from Vegan Risha’s recipe. It was all amazing!

The Farm Bill didn’t make it out of committee, which means no Save Our Bacon Act and NO dismantling of all state animal protection laws!! This is a huge loss for the National Pork Producers Council and for Republicans who want to cut SNAP benefits.
We had the pleasure of meeting chef Guy Vaknin at his exquisite NYC restaurant Le Basque. His incredible vegan restaurants include Beyond Sushi, Willow, Coletta, Anixi, Sentir, & Reverie. If you’re in NYC, definitely hit one up. Fun Fact: 80% of his customers aren’t vegan.

Here are some shots from the Ridgeland Farms rescue today. Well over 1000 rescuers were met with fierce resistance from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office. Non-violent protesters were severely tear-gassed and shot with rubber bullets. No dogs extricated…yet.

Rough week, as we had to say goodbye to our beloved Miles. Miles was a gentle soul who sucked his own paw & could leap over a couch in two bounds. He is survived by his sister, Ella. 😿 #Caturday
Tried to recreate a Tofu stir fry from a place that closed 5 years ago😀 Not sure how close I got, but it was yummy. Coconut rice, crispy tofu, 'shrooms, broc, garlic, onions, ginger, in a white wine, tamari, & herb sauce.
