I really don't want to take away from the overall point but there have been larger forcible migrations and movement of human populations since the Holocaust. The forced displacement of Germans from Eastern Europe after the war was 14 million people for example.

I just want to point out that this question could also be directed at the news media, which saw the Republican Party call for what would be, if their plans went through, the largest forcible movement of human beings since the Holocaust and debated its merits as a plan to bring down housing costs.

the corner of the sabaton backpatch was lifting, so I stitched it in extra tight. When I put this guy on I used a long stitch in the hem, this time I looped around the hem a bunch to try to tighten it in and stop the rest from unravelling. stab count: 0

I always thought the name "Roottree" was weird when I played the stupendous mystery game "The Roottrees Are Dead" but it's apparently based on an old British candy company called Rowntree's. Anyway they still make them in the UK and there's a British section at the local store

I wrote Mark Carney, the PM of Canada, to urge that the Canadian Forces join the European deployment to Greenland.

Dear Mr. Carney,

I am writing to urge the Government to join the Kingdom of Denmark, our critical NATO ally, with their sovereignty exercises in Greenland. It seems likely, however unfortunate it would be, that the United States will attempt to end NATO through actions against its own members. If Greenland falls, Canada will likely be the next country Mr. Trump looks at annexing. Should that come to pass, we will need our allies, and the only way we can earn their assistance is by proving we are part of the alliance now. It may not be called NATO anymore, but failing to act now is tantamount to admitting to Mr. Trump that we belong in the new American sphere of influence he is attempting to create. It would be admitting to Mr. Putin of Russia that we are separating from the European nations he seeks for his own domination.

If we are unlucky, we have three years and two days of Mr. Trump's presidency left to survive. We can only do so by acting together, as a block. I understand the European powers are still interested in appeasing Mr. Trump, as has been Canada's national strategy since you began your ministry. However, appeasement cannot work without strength and unity. Members of the Canadian Forces have joined our European allies before, and it is time they do so again.
