Time I bought some new clothes. Looking at Facebook memories I realise that I am wearing the same outfit today that I was wearing in 2018 at the Kent Rare Breeds Farm. The same T-shirt, shorts, hat and sandals ;-)
How quickly your life can turn; a bit of a senior moment. Tripped on the pavement going shopping. My hands couldn't break my fall & my chin hit the pavement; harder than I have ever been hit before. Two ladies & Elizabeth helped me up & back to the house for treatment before going out again :-)
Commonwealth Games opened in Glasgow? BBC this morning hidden at the bottom of the page! Commonwealth Leaders were there including our PM. These are our main allies in the Environmental Crisis. They are looking for British Leadership. The largest political block in the world; our Global Community.
Don't you know; my life used to be in turmoil? Don't you know; I used to write Poetry to make sense of my senseless existence? I survived!!! We don't go down without a fight guys - winks ;-)
Whew its 28C. Back home from this morning's Meeting, I set up our AirCon unit with the help of Coffee and the Beaks lending paws and flippers :-)
This makes me cry; it encapsulates our global crisis. This brave little Giraffe looking out at a hostile world. I thought she was in quarantine with 2 adults; the rest of the wonderful Marwell herd grazing. No this was the herd. Our elders & Profs have blown it. Wake up humanity #6thMassExtinction
My Memoirs seized up & hard to see me achieving any kind of finished product. A new approach was needed. I have constructed a framework of Indexes to take Chapters rewritten as dated Essays to be dropped in on completion. That way my Memoirs are always both a work in progress & a completed document.
So what did I think? This; we are trying to stick plasters over symptoms and not tackling root causes. All things lead back to greed. We have to build communities and link them together and eliminate greed as we build. A stable sustainable world can not accommodate greed ;-)

Facebook tells me that today 6yrs ago I picked up my new Sony A7MkII from Waitrose/John Lewis and, I have to say, that I was delighted with it so, its a true Pandemic Camera. Paired here with my Samyang 24mm f2.8 ;-)

Just started using Google Keep for taking notes on my phone to paste into my Diary when I get home. Works well. The phone also provides the photos for context. Yes I could write the notes into my organiser but then I would have to type it when I get home. I just record key words & details ;-)
Home Digital Sovereignty & Security? I've been taking it seriously since 2003. All my computers run Linux & this is my Database; my Diary that stretches back to 1800, incorporating Family History, inspired by Hypercard, written in Raw HTML. I don't use password savers except for non-essentials ;-)
Geologists don't get it; why I gave up my Fellowship of the Geological Society & scuttled back to the Inst Phys. Animals are alive so, they fail to notice the decline by 73%. This is not the new Anthropocene (cant believe they ignore the biggest event in their career); this is #6thMassExtinction
Despite severe sciatica, we went shopping at Sainsburys. Walking back up Drayman's Way, in the sunshine with the trees bursting into leaf, it is hard to imagine now that in 2022 this was a huge Brewery demolition site. The River Wey Walk from the High Street to the Kings Pond is now a delight ;-)
After my bath, the Moon and Venus were looking brilliant in the North West. Aldebaran was also noticeable in the image, just in the frame above the tree, to the left of the Moon ;-)
I should have known better than to ask Racccoon to supervise the installation of Ubuntu 26.04 LTS "Resolute Raccoon" on my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 on the 13th of the Month; what was I thinking? It all went wrong. So I decided to go back to Mint and re-installed Mint 22.2 LTE - sigh ;-)
