Asked my phone if the rain would end soon. This is the response I got. #SignsFromMotherNature (context: we got ~10 inches of rain in 24 hrs,& are approaching, in someway exceeding major 1913 flood which caused the building of dams and levees we now have. Some have placed this as a millennial storm.)
In an alliterative, almost literary mood tonight while revising a chapter. Editors (even coauthors) may regret this mood. Thousands of words over target length, what's a few (dozen) more? The rhythm is better, I think. Also trying to frame earworm phrases that stick. #academia #research #publication

Going deeper, & back in time, the Basin becomes sparse in organic decay. Burning around Circle similar to PZ, but now the organic deposition largely follows the buring. There's a line of burning zigzag-ing towards the Oval with sporadic organic deposition. This same line was mostly PO4 in PZ. 10/12
Focusing on 1 layer at a time, we get 5 clusters for the PZ (intensity classes and interpretive categories again). Burning (FDMS) rings the Circle, but avoids the Basin which is filled with relatively high organic deposition indicators (PO4, LFMS). Burning concentrated outside the Entrance. 9/12
Each cluster's summary stats classified into intensity classes by variable. Classes were combined into interpretive categories for the two types of processes that impact the variables measured: fire & organic decay. Organic deposition is focused at Circle, burning is ~ubiquitous. 8/12
Interpolation is often the end of spatial distribution analyses. It's useful, but not only, or most useful way to analyze variation & distributional properties of a #geochemistry and #geophysics dataset. Each measured variable has overlapping formation processes. Why not multivariate stats! 7/12
Interpolation modified from Donaldon's 2016 MA thesis. Donaldson defined 5 PO4 concentrations to characterize the clustered patterns. Most clustering is within the Circle, though there's a persistent cluster SW of the Circle. The most intense areas of PO4 & FDMS shift from the LL to the PZ. 6/12
Looking at the histograms of PO4 and MS (low frequency and frequency dependent) for each sampled strata, we see some small differences in value distribution for PO4, but larger fluctuations for LFMS and a likely central tendency difference for FDMS, an indicator of burning. Run with PAST 3.26 4/12
Moorehead Circle is an area within the Fort Ancient site w/o preserved earthen architecture, discovered by Dr. Jarrod Burks in 2005. Dr. Riordan led excavations for >10yrs to learn from this unique 60-ft post circle with pavement, burning,& even drainage features. #WorldHeritageSite 3/12
We argue ritual landscapes can be efficiently investigated,& the non-mortuary & non-disposal aspects of behavior can be explored w/ combined MS & PO4 to supplement recovery of tactile remains. In this case, we are even able to detect change in organization of ritual over time. #archaeology 2/12

Managed to walk to dinner, eat an almost normal dinner, walk back, rest, walk another 10+ minutes. About a 1000% decrease in pain and nausea, not elimination, but progress and 1000% more activity than yesterday. #newmath #ChronicPain

Today was a roller-coaster day. Started w/ a farmer not happy about letting us through their field, a delayed start out to said field, a GPS malfunction, a GIS error (possibly user error, but unclear), switching to manual grid layout. Very slow start. #archaeology #geophysics #LearnWorkDiscover 1/5
#gesundheitgarden 7.0 is all set and ready to grow. Reopened a section from 1.0 and 2.0, and one from 6.0, plus a brand new bed on the opposite (south) end of the yard.
