Introduction
Small class sizes, a beautiful campus, well paid faculty, expansive curriculum, a wide variety of athletics and other extracurriculars: the Academy outshines every other school in the Crystal City.
Crystal City Academy (CCA) has long been one of the best high schools anywhere, and you got in! Of the thousands of students who apply, only a few hundred make it each year. What truly sets it apart from other private schools is that it’s free to attend, and admission is determined by lottery! It’s all thanks to Mr. Fred Herring, a famously cruel and miserly businessman.
Nearly 60 years ago, Mr. Herring had a profound change of heart. After a long and restless night, he penned the Crystal City Academy’s founding charter to be funded in perpetuity by his vast fortune. Three days later, the old man died peacefully in his sleep.
Now, your Sophomore Year at CCA has barely began, and you can feel strange changes flowing through your body. Your empathy seems somehow heightened. A sensation of inner power presses gently against your chest from within. You just need… the right key. You don’t know how you know this, but you certainly do.

played Longshot City (the BEST #supers #ttrpg) last night. Inventor/Explorer(my character) & an Ace Reporter livestreamed an assault on some psychic-mantis-folk hivemind in the local observatory. It almost went well, but then it didn't & I had to build the other PC a new robot body! FUCK YEAH rpgs!
