i also tried Cyclopean II: The Dreamlands but I might just be too dumb to play it. i got lost trying to do anything at all, but in principle it looks neat. perhaps the first one is easier to get into also had fun with Hell Worlds Reinvigorated, but got stuck mid-level. pretty cool experience though

Forbidden Solitaire is an edgy would-be 90s game centered around a wizard exploring a dungeon, with its progression system tied around a solitaire game (no, not the default one you're probably thinking of) there is also a metanarrative about the people rediscovering the game years later. fun!

had Schrodinger's Call on my wishlist for a while, the demo did not disappoint. you play as a girl solving people's last regrets over the phone as humanity is dying. it is deeply, deeply beautiful and intricate i have my qualms with the pacing but it is a phenomenal experience. can't wait for more!

Qelochia is a short visual novel that absolutely blew me away and that i could not stop thinking about. in my 75 minutes with it i experienced cyberpunk themes, yuri, deep philosophical discussions about ethics and sentience and more, weirder yuri. i will be very insane once it releases

Map Map is a very cute game about cartography! you get to explore islands and have different tools available to mark different points of interest on your maps i've got a sweet spot for cartography in games, and i was also really enjoying the story and all its childlike whimsy

Titanium Court is... quite the experience. it's a roguelike match-3 title with resource management elements, but it is also bursting with comedy and artistic flair like you'd find in something like undertale. definitely give it a shot before dismissing it based on its genre!

RUBATO is a funky platformer with nonstandard movement mechanics. its gimmick is that you play as a frog and you use your long tongue for most actions. it's got really charming visuals and writing, and it reminded me to play more weird platformers. someday i need to mention Glace (2005) to y'all

Whispers of a Machine (2019) from the devs of kathy rain. honestly this one felt pretty mediocre. the endings fell flat too. lacks QoL features that made replaying (to see the other end and other possible unlocks) a bit annoying. perhaps kathy rain 2 is better
