You want texture? Daughter and granddaughter in Westknit socks. Sock’Oclock in grey, Smorgasbord in mauve, gold, burgundy and lemon.

Three feet in socks of varying textures. Silvery grey ones have a smocked effect. The others are in stripes and various patterns in mauve, gold, burgundy and lemon. Texture is the theme.

Husband couldn’t wait to get these Balloons Festival Socks from Westknits on to his tootsie-toes. Aggie liked them too.

It’s purple week! I don’t wear much purple but these Smorgasbord Socks from Westknit’s Year of Socks are just off the needles and getting blocked. Knitted with Opai sock wool purchased on Temu.

Purple, mauve, gold, maroon and lemon striped socks, knitted in a smorgasbord of patterns displayed on a fluffy blue blanket.

Just finished the Arachne Pullover by Hook Mountain Handmade. The spiders are clever cables. The colour is a pretty duck egg blue that came out grey in the photos. Wool is Skeinz Vjntage 10 ply.

I’ve bought a bit of wool from Temu. You have to be really careful to check at the very end of the post to get the details of the wool. Most of them have some nylon in them but some are 100% wool. They do not state what weight or length of wool is in a ball. Ya take ya chances. I read the reviews.

Temu wool -cashmere except for the grey, left over from the shawl.

For #ShowMeYourKnits I have two grey knits, Westknit Smock O’Clock Socks which I cast on this morning. Had to learn how to do the German Twisted CO for those. And the Westknit Musikal Shawl, finished last month. The merino yarn was a Temu buy, and the socks are using up the leftover light grey.

Finally finished the Westknit Musical KnitAlong. I knew I would probably never wear this shawl, so it’s in greys and orange so it will make an interesting addition to our living room next winter. Now onto socks for hubby for winter - a long way off. So pleased to be knitting something small.
