7. Reykjavik is the world’s northernmost country capital. Iceland sits just barely south of the Arctic Circle, land of the midnight sun in summer and ya know the opposite of that in winter.
3. There’s cool stuff to see! I could have taken a walk or scooter into town last night if not tired. I was up early and walked up a nearby hill that had some WWII relics as the British built an air base there. Views were nice and air was fresh.
2. Your flight may disappear. My flight to DC got canceled last night due to not enough staff - never had that happen before. So, free night in Iceland. And nights in late May are short - sunset after 11pm and sunrise before 4am. Here is full daylight at 10:45pm last night:
