Went a bit off the beaten track on my walk this morning. Already warm out there at 7am this morning & happy to find plenty of shade from the trees along the 8 mile route. Also just found out about the TFL Green Line Walk, 17 miles in London & will look to try that after the charity walk next month!
Enjoyable day as my league season kicked off at the Woodley United v FC Deportivo Galicia, Combined Counties Division One match. It finished 1-1 which is probably fair. Pitch looked greener than I thought it would but did look like it had crop circles in places. #NonLeague
This morning's walk took me down a different track where I managed to get a little lost! I had the pleasure of seeing a deer family crossing about 20 yards ahead of me while I was lost so every cloud and all that! #MorningWalk #Berkshire
Temperature for today's walk was a lot cooler and had a pleasant gentle couple of hours wander around the local lakes & ponds. Here's a pic with a couple of geese sleeping on one leg. #MorningWalks
Another long wander this morning which started quite cloudy with a nice breeze but the incessant sun was soon out to make the going a bit tougher. Looks like they've had a bit of a tree cull in the local crown estate. #SwinleyForest #MorningWalks #Berkshire
Another early morning mardle around my local park and arts centre. I am enjoying this sunshine but it'd be nice if it could just tone down the heat a fraction, I've forgotten what it's like to go for an afternoon walk! #MorningWalk #walking #BerkshireWalks #Berkshire
Why? Why did I do this this morning? What is wrong with me? 😄 #walking #BerkshireWalks #MorningWalks #Berkshire
Another slow wander this muggy old morning, this time a five mile stroll around a local historic site and then on for a walk around the arts centre and park. Tomorrow planned to be my first 10 miler since the ankle injury so hopefully it will be another milestone reached. 🤞 #walking #MorningWalk
A fantastic gesture from Ipswich Town (taken from the bird site) 👏👏👏 #grassroots #grassrootsfootball
Things you don't expect on an early Sunday morning walk. Wandering through the local park and heard a "hello". Looked all around and couldn't see anyone, then another hello, looked up to see this sitting on the top of a lamppost. Bloody forriners flying around saying hello!
Nice 5 mile walk around the local arts centre this morning, around both lakes & through the floral walkway (see pic). Lots of people out at silly o’clock for a run/walk & lots of dog walkers. As it's due to hit 37 to 39° Tuesday to Thursday, I might have to take my walks in the middle of the night!
A couple of days away to work a few things out going forward, back tomorrow.
Six years ago I went through a phase of doing two portraits in one picture, two were then & now drawings of 80s pop stars and the other one of #ITFC's greatest ever managers which made a change from drawing dogs! Maybe it's time for another one as I haven't drawn anything in over two years? #drawing
That's a ridiculous spell from Matt Milnes, and Kent actually win a game!
Went out for a walk in the sunshine this morning with my summer playlist to keep me company, going around a local park and arts centre in pursuit of today's 10,000 steps. Here are a couple of pics of the park, the arts centre through some trees & two Egyptian geese chicks on the lake. #Berkshire
Without saying your age, post your favourite film that was released the year you turned 18...
Enjoyed a 5 mile walk today including on some Crown Estate land in Swinley forest. It's more like a copse in places as they've done some wholesale forestry taking down large numbers of trees. Still, nice to see a whole load of different birds and a bit of springtime colour. 🙂
Just arrived for the 11.30am kick off at Stag Meadow for the Windsor & Eton v Wokingham Town match. It's certainly a beautiful day!
Late decision to train it to Addlestone today for a revisit & a catch up with Abbey Rangers for Non League Day. Entry £5, printed programme and a chance to reaquaint myself with the Shelly Special monster burger (they have the defib on standby!) #NonLeague
A few pictures from #Eastbourne and Bexhill (including their museum) last weekend.
